Informing Giao Thong Newspaper on the journey to Hanoi station, Passenger Train Captain Le Ngoc Huan said that the train crew (Hanoi Railway Attendants Group) had just returned the property of a foreign passenger left behind on train SE6 when it got off at Hue station this morning (February 15).
SE6 train crew returned foreign passenger's belongings left on the train.
Specifically, train SE6 departed from Saigon station on February 14 and arrived at Hue station this morning. After the train left Hue station, at around 5:30 a.m., the attendant of car number 3, Nguyen Quang Trung, discovered that a passenger had left a blue bag at seat 34. Immediately, attendant Trung reported it to the train captain.
The train captain and security guards came to check and make a record of the incident, witnessed by passengers on the train. Inside the bag were 815 USD, 1,920,000 VND, along with many important documents such as passport, bank card with foreign name and some other personal items such as mobile phone, eyeglasses, phone charger...
Because the passenger was a foreigner and could not be contacted directly, the train crew handed over all the passenger's belongings to the Dong Ha station. The station contacted Hue station to inform the passenger when he returned to look for his belongings; At the same time, a train was sent from the North to Hue station to hand them over to the passenger.
"This is important property and documents for foreign passengers, so Dong Ha station sent it immediately on the earliest train. Surely, by noon today, passengers will be able to receive their property back," said train captain Huan.
It is known that during Tet, there are many cases of forgetting property at the station and on the train. For example, on February 11 (the 2nd day of Tet), the SE3 train crew led by Train Captain Tran Xuan Tra (Southern Railway Attendant Group) returned a leather wallet with more than 9 million VND and documents to a passenger who left it on the train when getting off at Thanh Hoa station.
At Saigon station, on February 13 (the 4th day of Tet), female passenger NTQA dropped nearly 5 million VND in cash while passing through the control gate to board train SE6 but had no contact information. Luckily, the money was picked up by employee Nguyen Thi Hang, who, after checking the camera at the control gate, found it and returned it to Ms. NTQA.
