Opening of classes on preserving traditional cultural villages in Ba Son commune

- On the morning of October 22, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Ba Son commune to organize the opening of classes teaching Then singing, Tinh lute singing, Sli singing, and lion dance under the Project "Preserving traditional cultural villages and Thach Khuyen stone village" in Xuat Le commune, Cao Loc district (now Ba Son commune, Lang Son province).

The project is an important part of the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, demonstrating the province's commitment to heritage conservation, concretizing the Project on preserving and promoting the values of folk songs, dances and music of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development for the 2022-2030 period.

During this period, the project implemented 3 training classes focusing on the unique art forms of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups, including: Then singing, Tinh lute singing, Sli singing, and Lion and Cat dancing. The training classes had 111 students who were local people.

During the training class, students are taught practical skills and performed various types of cultural heritage by artisans. Each training class is supported with purchasing props and costumes, and performances are organized to practice the skills learned. The entire process from training to performance is filmed and recorded to serve as documentation and to inform and promote the value of these intangible cultural heritages.

Leaders of Ba Son Commune Party Committee and representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented Tinh lutes to students of the teaching class.

Through teaching classes, contribute to preserving tangible and intangible values in Thach Khuyen stone village, Ba Son commune, towards forming clubs and folk cultural activity models, creating conditions for cultural nuclei and the masses to exchange, create and enjoy culture.

Thereby continuing to arouse the spirit of preserving, enriching and promoting the values of national cultural heritage among the people, contributing to building grassroots cultural life, developing socio-economy, especially developing tourism economy, attracting local tourists.
