Opening of the 2025 Da Nang City Club Volleyball Tournament

VHO - On the morning of October 18, at Tien Son Sports Palace, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Da Nang City Club Volleyball Tournament with the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of athletes from localities and units in the area.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Cong Tu, Director of the Da Nang City Sports Center (under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City), said that this year's tournament gathered more than 220 athletes from communes, wards, units and schools in the city.

“This is a healthy and useful playground to maintain and develop the volleyball training movement, and at the same time is an opportunity for clubs to exchange, learn, practice competition skills, improve professional qualifications, and contribute to discovering new factors for the city's sports,” Mr. Tu emphasized.

Director of Da Nang City Sports Center Tran Cong Tu delivered the opening speech of the tournament.

The Da Nang City Volleyball Club Tournament is an annual sporting event, taking place from October 18 to 24, 2025 at Tien Son Sports Palace. The tournament is considered a practical activity to promote the sports movement, enhance exchanges and connections between units and localities.

In the men's volleyball category, the tournament gathered 13 clubs including: Hoa Khanh Ward, Ngu Hanh Son Ward, Thu Bon Commune, Thang Truong Commune, Go Noi Commune, Tan Thoi Dai Club, Lang Dai Hoc Club, Salem Piano Club, Su Pham Club, AE Team Club, Phu My An Club, AZ Club and DAVIGO Club.

The women's volleyball event has 6 participating teams including: Hoa Cuong Ward, Pedagogical Club, Bach Minh Khoi Club, University Village Club, Community Club - Sao Vang VN and Diamond Club - Hoa Vang.

The matches are held in a round robin format, selecting the best teams to enter the semi-finals and finals.

According to the Organizing Committee, maintaining the annual tournament not only encourages the mass sports movement but also helps discover and nurture new talents, contributing to the city volleyball team in the future.

Besides the exciting matches, the tournament also honors outstanding individuals with collective and individual awards.

Collective awards include: 1 First prize (Cup, flag, gold medal, prize money); 1 Second prize (flag, silver medal, prize money); 1 Third prize (flag, bronze medal, prize money) and 1 Encouragement prize (flag, prize money).

Individual awards include: Outstanding Athlete (male and female) and Miss Athlete - Miss Volleyball Female, both receive certificates and prize money.

The teams competed immediately after the opening ceremony.

The 2025 Da Nang City Volleyball Club Tournament is expected to continue to contribute to promoting the widespread development of the mass sports movement, spreading the spirit of health training, solidarity and exchange in the community.
