Opening of creative camp on geoparks

From October 31 to November 5, 2024, the Dak Nong Provincial Literature and Arts Association hosted the intensive literary and artistic creation camp on Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark. The creation camp had the participation of 22 authors in the fields of literature, photography, fine arts, dance, and screenwriting from the provinces of Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, and Dak Nong.

The activity aims to create high-quality literary and artistic works about the UNESCO Dak Nong Global Geopark to serve the propaganda and promotion of the heritage values of the Global Geopark in Dak Nong to domestic and international friends.

On this occasion, the Literature and Arts Associations of the provinces with the Geopark system organized a signing ceremony to coordinate the propaganda of the Geopark between the Literature and Arts Associations of the 4 provinces in the period 2024 - 2029.

Accordingly, the Literature and Arts Association of the 4 provinces coordinates to produce 2 special pages/year for 4 magazines: Nam Nung, Non nuoc Cao Bang, Van nghe Ha Giang, Van nghe Xu Lang; organizes creative field trips or creative camps; art photo exhibitions; and literary and artistic creation competitions to introduce and reflect on the values of heritage areas and geoparks in the 4 provinces,...

Speaking at the program, Vice Chairwoman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh welcomed the Association of Vietnamese and Cultural Heritage of Ha Giang, Cao Bang, and Lang Son provinces to Dak Nong to participate in an intensive creative camp on the UNESCO Dak Nong Geopark.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee congratulated the signing ceremony of the program of coordination in promoting the UNESCO Global Geopark between the Vietnam Heritage Associations of the four provinces, and believed that after the signing program, the heritage values of the UNESCO Global Geopark in the provinces of Dak Nong, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, and Lang Son will be promoted and introduced to domestic and foreign friends.

This is the first time the Literature and Arts Association of provinces with a system of UNESCO Geoparks has organized a signing ceremony for a program to coordinate propaganda and open a specialized literature and arts creation camp on the UNESCO Dak Nong Geopark.
