Golden Monkey Island in Bai Tu Long Bay, also known as Reu Island, is a unique and interesting place in Cam Pha city, Quang Ninh province. This island is not only famous for its wild natural beauty but also for being home to thousands of golden monkeys.
Reu Island has an area of about 22 hectares, located in the middle of Bai Tu Long Bay. Since 1960, Reu Island has been known as a place to raise golden monkeys to serve the production of vaccines. After more than 60 years of existence and development, this place has become the "kingdom" of golden monkeys with the number of individuals up to thousands.
This place is not only an attractive tourist destination but also a valuable cultural heritage of Vietnam. The golden monkeys here are not only a symbol of intelligence and agility but also the pride of the people of Quang Ninh.
