HNN.VN - On the morning of October 18, Mr. Tran Van Minh Quan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chan May - Lang Co commune, said that after receiving information about riverbank landslides that could directly affect people's houses, the authorities have deployed measures to reinforce the landslide site to ensure immediate safety.

On the morning of October 18, upon receiving information that Mr. Ha Van Dung's house in Thuy Yen Thuong village was at risk of landslides on the riverbank nearly 2 meters away from the house, the leaders of the commune People's Committee directed a force of about 100 people, including militia, border guards, police, village officials and the support of the Defense Command of Area 3 - Phu Loc, to organize a solution by planting stakes, lining tarps, building sandbags, and temporarily reinforcing, avoiding the immediate risk of landslides.

Chairman of Chan May - Lang Co Commune People's Committee Tran Van Minh Quan said that the landslide site is located near a family of two elderly people over 70 years old, so the rescue work needs to be urgent and ensure safety. In the current rainy and stormy season, the locality prioritizes the work of checking and ensuring the safety of people's lives and property in vulnerable areas.
