On September 20, 2004, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 990/QD-TTg, choosing October 13, 1945 as Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day, to honor the role and great contributions of entrepreneurs in the cause of building and developing the country. Over the past two decades, the business community and entrepreneurs of Lao Cai province have continuously grown, becoming a pioneering force in promoting growth, creating jobs and making important contributions to the cause of industrialization and modernization.

Lao Cai has more than 12,000 registered businesses, creating stable jobs for more than 100,000 workers.

From a mountainous border province with many difficulties, Lao Cai today has made great strides in development. In particular, the team of entrepreneurs - enterprises is one of the pillars of the local economy , contributing to changing the face of urban and rural areas and improving people's lives. Up to now, the whole province has more than 12,000 registered enterprises, creating stable jobs for more than 100,000 workers, contributing more than 65% of the total local budget revenue. Hundreds of billions of VND, tens of thousands of gifts, medical equipment, vaccine funds, etc. have been contributed in a timely manner, clearly demonstrating the social responsibility and kindness of Lao Cai's business community.

Lao Cai enterprises always accompany the government and share difficulties with the community.

Not only during the pandemic, but also before natural disasters, the business community also demonstrating the spirit of sharing and mutual love. Especially after storm No. 3 in 2024 and storm No. 10 (Bualoi) recently, many businesses in the province promptly joined hands with the government, the Fatherland Front and organizations to provide material and means support to help people overcome the consequences and soon stabilize their lives. These noble gestures have left a good image of Lao Cai businessmen as brave, humane and responsible.

Industrial production enterprises make important contributions to the socio-economic development goals of the province.

Along with economic development, Lao Cai enterprises also actively participate in social security activities and support the community. In the period of 2020 - 2025, enterprises in the province have mobilized more than 200 billion VND for social and charity programs, supporting poor but studious students, caring for the disadvantaged, contributing to spreading humanitarian values ​​in society.
