Khanh Hoa: Donated 5 billion VND to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods

On the morning of October 11, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province received more than 1 billion VND from organizations, businesses and individuals in the area to support people affected by storms and floods.

At the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Tu Vien, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province, expressed her thanks to the agencies, units, and philanthropists who joined hands to support people in the flood-hit areas to soon restore production, business, and stabilize their lives.

“The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province and the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee commit to using the funds for the right purposes to mobilize, support and help the people who suffered losses; at the same time, the entire amount of money donated by units, organizations and individuals will be listed on the electronic information page and social networking sites of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province,” Ms. Tran Thi Tu Vien emphasized.

Previously, responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and following the direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province called on all classes of people, cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, soldiers of the armed forces, religions, businesses, etc. to join hands to provide spiritual and material support, contributing to helping people in flood-affected areas stabilize their lives soon.

From October 3 to 10, the Vietnam Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province received 4 billion VND from units, businesses and people. This amount was transferred by the unit to support the first phase for 8 provinces that suffered heavy damage from storm No. 10 including: Quang Tri, Ninh Binh, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Son La - each province received 500 million VND.

At the same time, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also allocated 1 billion VND from the Provincial Relief Fund to support Thai Nguyen, a locality heavily affected by storm No. 10 and the circulation of storm No. 11.
