Ho Chi Minh City: Organizing Pickleball Exchange Tournament to raise funds to support people in flood-affected areas

(NLDO) - Pickleball exchange tournament affirms the power of sports associated with social responsibility, the spirit of charity and sharing of Ho Chi Minh City people

On the morning of October 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board coordinated with Pickleball Clubs and related units to organize a Pickleball Exchange Tournament with the theme "Joining hands to support people in the North and North Central regions to overcome difficulties caused by storms, floods and natural disasters".

The event attracted the participation of more than 100 athletes from many clubs in and outside Ho Chi Minh City, along with many businesses, donors and sports lovers. Not only is it a physical training activity, the tournament also has a profound humanitarian meaning, aiming to raise funds to support the people of the North and Central regions who have suffered heavy losses due to natural disasters in recent times.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh Dung, Deputy Director of the HCM City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board, affirmed: "Today's tournament is not only a sports activity for exchange and health training, but also a practical action demonstrating the spirit of mutual love of the people of HCM City towards the people in the flood areas. Each serve, each cheer is a bridge of love, sending the sharing feelings of the South to the beloved Central and North regions."

The Pickleball 2025 Exchange Tournament is also a practical activity to welcome the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030; towards the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day on October 13, recognizing and honoring the contributions of the business community not only in economic development but also in social and charitable activities.

At the event, the Organizing Committee officially launched a direct and online donation program, calling for the cooperation of organizations, businesses, philanthropists and people to provide timely support to people in difficulty, contributing to helping people soon stabilize their lives and restore production after natural disasters.
