"Heritage Footsteps" not only honors the beauty of Vietnamese culture, but also expands the journey of exchange with international friends. The program brings together 19 traditional and contemporary fashion collections from 19 countries around the world - each collection is a cultural story, a unique color in the multi-tone, multi-color picture of humanity.

The costumes displayed in the show are not only aesthetic creations, but also a cultural language - a place to preserve memories, identity and national pride. From the ao dai, turbans, silk to contemporary designs, Vietnamese fashion is reaching out to the world , connecting tradition and modernity in a proud flow.

Through the language of fashion, cultures will meet, dialogue and spread the spirit of friendship, expressing the aspiration for a connected world – where heritage is continued and shines with the breath of today's era.

"Heritage Footsteps" is a journey to honor unique cultural values, chosen as one of the three key events of the World Cultural Festival in Hanoi 2025.

The program will open the art space with the dance performance "Lua La" - a unique combination of music, dance and fashion. Vietnamese silk will shine through the violin of artist Thu Huyen, the voice of singer Le Trang, and the captivating performance of the Grammy and Emmy Dance Group.

Next is the convergence of all the quintessence of Hanoi with the collection "Hanoi in Hanoi" which is the crystallization of creativity and sublimation of inspiration of designer Vu Viet Ha about the beauty of the land that he loves and is attached to like flesh and blood.

From suburban weaving villages, suburban embroidery villages, to the image of Trang An girls in paintings by famous Vietnamese artists in the 1930s – all are delicately recreated on each Ao Dai flap. Each design is a slice of culture, a breath of elegant, shy and graceful Hanoi.

Designer Vu Viet Ha conveys the message of green fashion, sustainable fashion through the technique of dyeing natural colors from plants and meticulous handcrafting, honoring traditional beauty in modern language. Accompanying each dress is a colorful hand-embroidered silk scarf, with four-season flower motifs made with sophisticated embroidery techniques. The scarves are not only aesthetic highlights, but also a gentle story about a colorful, multi-dimensional Hanoi - where the past, present and future coexist in every thread.

The collections in the program are a fusion between the past and the present, from the "Heritage in Hanoi" collection by designer Anh Thu - ao dai brand Ngan An - is the connection between tradition and modernity. Bat Trang ceramic motifs, conical hats, and the image of pure lotus soul remind of Vietnamese beauty in Trinh Cong Son's music, recreating the cultural depth of the capital.

Each design is not just an outfit, but a part of the memory of elegant and gallant Hanoi. Each stitch is like the ringing of a temple bell, carrying the breath of a thousand years of Thang Long, honoring the graceful beauty of Hanoi girls.

From a thousand-year heritage journey, Vietnamese traditional costumes are not only costumes but also symbols of rituals, aesthetics and national identity. Details such as buns, long-bodied shirts, wide sleeves, and four sacred animals and four seasons patterns recreate beauty through the dynasties, reflecting the concept of elegant and graceful beauty. Each traditional costume design performed in the program is a story about our ancestors: the purity of the Ly Dynasty, the brilliance of the Tran Dynasty, the majesty of the Le Dynasty, and the sophistication of the Nguyen Dynasty.

"Van Yen Weaving" conveys a strong message: wearing Vietnamese traditional costumes means wearing a whole culture. Designer Nguyen Mi - brand Mi Xiem Y Traditional Costumes brought a unique collection in "Heritage Footsteps".

The special performance by the Embassy’s wives really captivated the audience. Each lady brought a unique cultural slice of her country, expressed through traditional costumes and international exchange messages.

Culture is not only present in songs and dances, but also woven into each traditional costume – each one is a story, a national symbol. The audience can also explore the colors of Asian culture through unique designs, honoring the traditional beauty of each country. The performance of 19 traditional costume collections from different continents created a colorful festival space, imbued with friendship and cultural connection.

India, with its traditional costumes from Rajasthan to Gujarat, showcases vibrant colors and intricate craftsmanship reflecting India’s diverse heritage. Indonesia, with its Baju Kurung, Baju Adat Palembang, and Kebaya, showcases elegance and national pride through precious songket fabrics and intricate embroidery. Iran, with its designs inspired by Persian and ethnic cultures, represents freedom, artistry, and pride.
