On September 21, the Department of Internal Political Security ( Ministry of Public Security ) coordinated with the People's Committee of Vinh Long province and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) to organize the inauguration ceremony and put into use four rural traffic bridges in the province.
Attending the ceremony were former Politburo members: Nguyen Tan Dung, former Prime Minister; Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, former Chairwoman of the National Assembly; General Le Hong Anh, former Standing member of the Secretariat.
Also attending were Lieutenant General Dinh Van Noi, Director of the Internal Political Security Department (Ministry of Public Security); leaders of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province; representatives of departments, branches, localities and a large number of people.
Four bridges were inaugurated, including: Giong Tre Qua bridge (Tan Hao commune), Lien Xa Hung Nhuong - Tan Hao bridge, Lien Ap 8-9 bridge (Hung Nhuong commune) and Dinh bridge (Hung Nhuong commune).
The projects started construction in April 2025 with a total cost of more than 13 billion VND, of which Vietcombank sponsored 10 billion VND and Chau Thoi 620 Concrete Joint Stock Company sponsored more than 3.7 billion VND.

After more than 5 months of construction, the reinforced concrete bridges have been completed, replacing the old, degraded bridges. The project, put into use, helps traffic, transport of goods and travel of people more convenient and safer, creating a driving force for local socio-economic development.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son said that each bridge span put into use is not only an infrastructure project but also contains sentiment, initiating a new development of the locality in the context of implementing a two-level local government.
Mr. Nguyen Truc Son suggested that local authorities have the responsibility to coordinate in maintaining, repairing, and preserving the works to be clean and safe; and that people join hands to protect and exploit them properly so that these bridges can become a driving force for sustainable development. At the same time, effectively exploiting the four bridges should be combined with traffic planning, trade, service and tourism development, in order to open up new development space, better serving people's needs.
