Ho Chi Minh City upgrades public transport with 2 new bus routes

Ho Chi Minh City adds two bus routes connecting with the administrative centers of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has just issued a decision announcing the addition of a list of intra-provincial and inter-provincial bus routes in the area.

Ho Chi Minh City will add two bus routes to help directly connect administrative centers.

Accordingly, two new bus routes will be put into operation, directly connecting Binh Duong administrative center and Ba Ria - Vung Tau administrative center with Ho Chi Minh City administrative center.

This is an important step to meet the increasing travel needs of people, while contributing to the completion of the public transport network, facilitating movement between neighboring areas and the center of Ho Chi Minh City, reducing pressure on personal traffic, and promoting socio -economic development in the connected urban area.

The Public Transport Management Center is assigned to preside over the organization and management of all public passenger transport activities by bus in the area. In addition, this unit must also regularly review, research and advise on plans to develop the bus network to suit the practical operation, travel needs of the people, future public transport development trends, as well as policies related to transport management and urban planning.

The above decision takes effect from the date of signing, with the responsibility for implementation belonging to the Chief of Office of the Department of Construction, Head of the Transport Management Department and Director of the Public Transport Management Center. The deployment of new bus routes will be carried out in a synchronous, safe and effective manner, aiming to improve the quality of public passenger transport services in Ho Chi Minh City, towards a modern and convenient public transport network, well meeting the travel needs of people, contributing to reducing congestion and environmental pollution in urban areas.
