The symbolic block "Heart of Vietnamese love": An artistic mark in the heart of the capital

On October 12, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the "Heart of Love for Vietnam" symbol took place at Thong Nhat Park. The event was organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Hai Ba Trung Ward People's Committee in coordination with Thong Nhat Park Company, Bao Viet Life Corporation and Tan Ha Noi Arts Company.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Le Thi Anh Mai informed: Previously, on October 3, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports held a meeting to evaluate and approve the content and artistic form of the symbol block. Opinions showed that the symbol block "Heart of Love for Vietnam" has a clear idea, suitable aesthetic form, artistic value, and a suitable location, meeting the requirements of urban aesthetics and public space.

The "Vietnam Love Heart" symbol is made of reinforced concrete, covered with blue glazed ceramic painted on a white porcelain background. Three artists of Tan Ha Noi Art Company, Nguyen Thu Thuy, Nguyen Thanh Tung and Nguyen Thanh Ha, spent a lot of time and effort to complete this unique work of art.

"Vietnam Love Heart" symbol block

Standing out in the block of symbols are the images of bronze drums and doves. Bronze drums are a long-standing cultural symbol of the nation, also a symbol of power, religion and solidarity of the ancient Vietnamese people in the Dong Son culture. The image of doves evokes peace .

"The image of a bronze drum is placed within a stylized dove image, representing the Vietnamese people's desire for peace. On the sides of the word Vietnam are geometric patterns of bronze drums. On the surface of the word Vietnam are familiar images of natural landscapes and architectural heritages representing the rich history of the three regions of North, Central and South," artist Nguyen Thu Thuy shared about the design idea.

Artist Nguyen Thu Thuy is also the author of "The Ceramic Road along the Red River" in Hanoi and "The Ceramic Flag" in Truong Sa. With the work "The Heart of Love for Vietnam", the female artist practiced her creativity with all her love, along with thoughts about the journey of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people.

Responding to activities to promote innovation and develop the cultural industry of Hanoi Capital, Deputy General Director of Bao Viet Nhan Tho Hoang Anh Duc expressed: "Bao Viet Nhan Tho hopes to continue to accompany Hanoi City in projects with symbolic, humane and sustainable development values, contributing to building a civilized, modern and loving Capital."

Each work in the "Heart of Love for Vietnam" symbol bears the mark of the typical natural landscapes of the three regions, meticulously executed by the artists. They draw with pride in their beautiful homeland, in the long-standing cultural and historical traditions of the nation. Some images of the typical architectural works of Da Nang also have the participation and contribution of artist Nguyen Dang Tuan from Quang Tri.
