Economic growth scenario of Ca Mau province in 2025

Based on the results of GRDP growth in Ca Mau province in the first quarter of 2025 and the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh at the meeting on March 20, 2025 held in An Giang province, it is recommended that Ca Mau province strive for growth in region 1 to reach 4% or more (plan to increase 3.5%) to be similar to the growth rate of region 1 of the whole country; at the same time, on May 5, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council issued a document agreeing to strive for the growth target of region 1 (fishery, agriculture, forestry) in 2025 of the province to reach 4% or more. On May 13, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 138/KH-UBND on implementing the GRDP growth scenario of Ca Mau province in 2025 and the period 2026 - 2030, specifically:

Total product in the province in 2025 (GRDP at 2010 comparative prices) is estimated to reach about 52,236 billion VND, an increase of about 8.2%; Of which:

- Sector 1 (fishery, agriculture, forestry) is estimated at 15,891 billion VND, up about 4.0%;

- Sector 2 (industry, construction) is estimated at 16,550 billion VND, an increase of about 10.0%;

- Sector 3 (services) is estimated at 17,660 billion VND, an increase of about 10.4%;

- Product tax minus product subsidies is estimated at VND 2,135 billion, an increase of about 8.4%.

To strive to achieve the province's economic growth target (GRDP) in 2025 of 8% or more according to Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP dated February 5, 2025 of the Government , it requires all levels, sectors and localities to resolutely implement the proposed tasks and solutions./.
