Inspecting the school after the storm, Thai Nguyen Secretary requested to move the location and build a new school.

On October 10, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong and the working delegation inspected and directed the work of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in Na Ri commune (Thai Nguyen province).

Accordingly, the working delegation visited and encouraged teachers and students of Na Ri Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Na Ri commune).

Previously, at around 1 p.m. on October 7, due to the rapid flood from upstream, 277 students and teachers of the school were isolated. After that time, the water level continued to rise, directly threatening the safety of teachers and students.

Upon receiving the information, local authorities mobilized forces, used rafts to approach and brought 277 students and teachers from the school out of the floodwaters and to a safe temporary shelter.

Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong highly appreciated the efforts of the forces and asked the Na Ri commune government to quickly propose to the province to commend, reward and honor those who participated in supporting the evacuation of 277 students and teachers from the isolated area.

A working delegation from Thai Nguyen province inspected Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School (Cho Ra commune).

During the visit, the delegation donated 500 million VND to the school to purchase damaged equipment and materials.

The working delegation visited and encouraged households in Na Ri commune residential area affected by flash floods.

Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong requested local authorities to study, propose, and select suitable locations to relocate households, build houses, and stabilize life in safe areas.

* The working group also inspected Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School (Cho Ra Commune) with more than 400 students studying at 2 school locations. According to the report, the school campus has seriously degraded. In particular, the 2-storey headquarters building has many cracks and has been closed since 2023 until now. In addition, due to weak geological foundations, during the recent flood, landslides occurred in some locations on the school campus, endangering students and teachers.

The Provincial Party Secretary directed the People's Committee of Cho Ra commune to urgently develop a plan to propose a suitable location to relocate the entire school to a new location, ensuring the safety of teachers and students; at the same time, assigned the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Department of Construction to conduct a general review of all schools in the northern communes located in locations with weak geology and potential safety risks. From there, promptly advise the province on effective solutions to ensure school safety.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Secretary presented a gift worth 50 million VND to encourage the study and talent promotion work of Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School.
