In recent times, the agricultural sector has implemented policies to help entities build profiles, develop raw material areas, build value chains, support technology, build management systems, provide vocational training, build brands, and trace product origins.
At the same time, coordinate with the People's Committee of Tieu Can commune to develop a plan to implement the pilot model of the Central OCOP Program for the period 2021-2025 at Tra Vinh Fram Company Limited. The results have been submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of the project investment policy. The expected capital will be allocated to the People's Committee of Tieu Can commune as the investor and establish investment procedures for implementation.
Since the beginning of the year, the province has recognized 95 more OCOP products, accounting for 64% of the plan. Bringing the total number to date, the province has a total of 1,083 OCOP products (including 13 5-star products, 184 4-star products, 5 potential 5-star products and 881 3-star products), of 625 entities (121 companies, enterprises; 105 cooperatives, 14 cooperative groups, 385 business households).
The 2025 plan recognizes 148 more products, the remaining 53 products are expected to reach the plan by the end of the year. In the coming time, the agricultural sector will review, count, support potential producers and households and prepare documents to request the province to recognize OCOP products, striving for each commune to have at least 3-5 OCOP products of 3 stars or more.
