Speaking at the award ceremony, journalist Doan Hong Phuc, Permanent Vice President of the Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association, said that the 2023 Kien Giang Provincial Press Award, the Organizing Committee received 150 press works from authors inside and outside the province, of which, there were 55 print and electronic newspaper works, 27 radio newspaper works, 41 television newspaper works and 27 photo reports and news photos.

Compared to 2022, this year's Kien Giang Provincial Press Award increased in all three aspects: the number of authors, the number of works, and the quality of the works also increased, of which the number of works participating in the award increased by 28 works and the number of authors also increased by 30%.
The works submitted to the 2023 Kien Giang Provincial Press Award reflect a vivid picture of Kien Giang province's achievements, imbued with the breath of life; promptly disseminate good and creative experiences, good practices, spread the spirit of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; discover new factors, advanced examples in Party building, building people's government, and actively participating in social activities.
The jury has selected 48 best works out of 150 works participating in the Kien Giang Provincial Journalism Award 2023. The Organizing Committee has awarded 5 First prizes, 9 Second prizes, 13 Third prizes, 21 Encouragement prizes in 5 journalism categories...
On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association for its excellent achievements in completing the tasks of the movement and innovating professional work in 2022; 07 individuals were awarded the Commemorative Medal for the journalism career; 10 journalists were admitted to the Vietnam Journalists Association; 12 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the thematic emulation movement in 2022; The Provincial Journalists Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 journalists and reporters.
