Authorized by the Prime Minister, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong signed the Government's report to National Assembly deputies on the results of implementing a number of resolutions on thematic supervision and questioning in the inspection field.
In the first nine months of 2025, the Government Inspectorate conducted 30 surprise inspections, according to the Government's report.

The Government Inspectorate also conducted a thematic inspection of the management of exploitation, processing and trading of rare earth, tungsten and bauxite ore; and inspected the compliance with legal policies of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project.
Mr. Doan Hong Phong also said that the entire inspection sector has simultaneously carried out 25 specialized inspections of projects with difficulties and problems and 11 specialized inspections to prevent and combat waste in the management and use of housing and land facilities of state-owned agencies, organizations and enterprises nationwide.
Up to now, the Government Inspectorate has sent a report to the Prime Minister on thematic inspection of projects with difficulties and problems.
According to the Government Inspector General, the implementation of surprise inspections has promptly detected, prevented and handled violations of the law, especially in cases showing signs of corruption, negativity, waste, causing serious consequences.
The inspection discovered major violations in finance, land, public investment, etc.; at the same time, files and documents showing signs of violations were transferred to the Ministry of Public Security for consideration, investigation, and handling according to legal regulations.
According to the Government's report, the entire inspection sector has carried out 3,102 administrative inspections and 62,581 specialized inspections and checks; detected economic violations of VND 179,829 billion and 757 hectares of land; recommended consideration and administrative handling of 928 groups and 3,058 individuals; and transferred 121 cases and 92 subjects to the investigation agency for further consideration and handling.
From this result, the authorities have recovered 3,510 billion VND (reaching a rate of 33%), 6 hectares of land; administratively handled 1,680 organizations, 5,773 individuals; transferred 53 cases, 42 subjects to the investigation agency; prosecuted 1 case, 2 subjects.
Reporting on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, the Government said that ministries, branches and localities have verified the declaration of assets and income of 2,369 people and disciplined 12 people for dishonest declaration of assets and income.
During the reporting period, there were 18 cases of leaders being found to be irresponsible in allowing corruption to occur, and 20 people were disciplined (due to cases being carried over from the previous reporting period).
In addition, the Government said that the agencies have discovered 22 cases and 27 people involved in corruption. Of these, through internal inspection, 5 cases and 8 people were discovered; through inspection and examination, 11 cases and 12 people were discovered; through handling complaints and denunciations, 6 cases and 7 people were discovered involved in corruption.
In the coming time, the Government said it will innovate in organizing the implementation of inspection plans, as well as increase publicity and transparency, improve discipline, administrative discipline, and public ethics in inspection activities.
Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen the work of supervision, appraisal and post-inspection handling, effectively deploy solutions to prevent corruption; improve the effectiveness of detecting and handling corruption, focus on inspecting sensitive areas, areas with high risk of corruption or areas with many public opinions about corruption, waste and negativity.
The Government also affirmed that it will continue to speed up progress and promptly complete the project "Building a National Database on Asset and Income Control".
