According to information posted by China Central Television (CCTV News) and shared by Mr. Lei Jun on his personal page, sales of Xiaomi 17 series reached an impressive number of 1 million units in just the first 5 days of sale.
Previously, Mr. Lu Weibing, Partner, Group Chairman and General Manager of Xiaomi Mobile Phone and Brand Division, said on Weibo that sales of the entire Xiaomi 17 series grew by more than 20% compared to the same period of previous generations, despite the ongoing National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays in the country.
Lu Weibing highlighted the Xiaomi 17 Pro series, describing sales as “far exceeding all expectations” and the Group is urgently replenishing supplies. The standard version of this series is also recording increasing popularity.

The Xiaomi Mi 17 series officially went on sale on the morning of September 27. After just the first 5 minutes, this product line broke the first-day sales and revenue record of a new domestic phone line in all price segments in 2025.
Most notably, the Xiaomi Mi 17 Pro Max set a record for first-day sales and revenue for a new domestic phone model this year, accounting for more than 50% of the total sales of the entire Xiaomi Mi 17 series.
Thanks to this strong growth, the total number of Xiaomi 17 series phones sold has officially surpassed 1 million units after 5 days on the market. Mr. Lu Weibing also said that in addition to the breakthrough of the Pro series, the standard version of this series is also recording increasing popularity, contributing to the overall impressive performance of the series.
According to analysts, Xiaomi's record 17 is not only an impressive number commercially, but also a clear signal of a shift in consumer perception of the Xiaomi brand.
This success proves that Xiaomi has firmly established itself in the high-end smartphone segment, which is the "playground" of big competitors like Apple or Samsung.
The fact that the Pro Max series accounts for more than half of total sales shows that users are willing to pay a higher price for the “unique” features that Xiaomi equips its flagship with. This is especially important in the context of the global smartphone market showing signs of saturation.
