On the afternoon of October 22, Viettel Ca Mau held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its Traditional Day (October 25, 2005 - October 25, 2025). On October 25, 2005, the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group established a branch in Ca Mau (Viettel Ca Mau). After 20 years of development, Viettel Ca Mau has a mobile market share of 31%, ranked No. 1 in fixed broadband with nearly 50.3% market share; 4G wave infrastructure accounts for 99.5% and 5G wave accounts for 20% of the population.

Not only contributing to infrastructure and digital services, Viettel Ca Mau also always associates business activities with social responsibility. Over the past 20 years, the unit has implemented many social security programs and contributed hundreds of billions of VND to the provincial State budget.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhuong - Chief Representative of the Southern Military Industry - Telecommunications Group said: We strive that in the next 5 years, Viettel Ca Mau will maintain the No. 1 position in mobile market share, fixed broadband, information technology and digital transformation in the whole province; continue to make breakthroughs in building infrastructure and 5G waves covering 98% of the population; fiber optic broadband will reach 95% of households, with a minimum speed of 1Gbps.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhuong affirmed that we will continuously expand into new fields: Digital Life, IoT, Cloud, Big Data; build a digital subscriber network of up to millions of customers, bringing Viettel Ca Mau into the top 2 of the digital device retail market. We are committed to accompanying the provincial government in every step of digital transformation; including completing the provincial digital architecture framework after the merger and expanding the smart operation center to all wards and communes; applying technology to management, operation, education , health, security, and environment so that Ca Mau can become a pioneer province in digital experiences.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan acknowledged and praised the positive contributions of Viettel Ca Mau to the province's development in recent times; at the same time, he hoped that Viettel Ca Mau would take active actions, create real products, and create digital values ​​according to the commitment document between the leaders of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group and the Provincial People's Committee signed on August 20, 2025; need to have a new approach, a different and unique way of doing things in deploying digital infrastructure, 5G coverage, satellite internet, essential services, public administrative procedures, essential services to people and businesses; speed up the progress of deploying technology products according to important sectors and fields of the province; actively support the formation of a real and effective digital society and digital citizens; need to have greater contributions in autonomy, confidentiality, copyright, security, and safety of technology and network information.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 03 groups and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in developing telecommunications infrastructure, information technology, digital transformation activities, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. The Military Industry - Telecommunications Group awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag to Viettel Ca Mau and awarded Certificates of Merit to 25 individuals with outstanding achievements in the period 2015 - 2025.
