Notably, there are 6 high-tech coffee growing areas with a scale of nearly 2,268.5 hectares, attracting more than 1,400 participating farmers, including Bao Thuan, Bao Lam 2, Hoa Bac, Nam Nung, Duc An and Thuan An communes.

Here, people apply water-saving irrigation systems combined with fertilizer injection, integrated pest management (IPM) and compliance with sustainable agriculture standards, helping to reduce input costs, optimize resources and improve the quality of coffee beans.

Lam Dong Newspaper reported that the whole province currently has 33 coffee growing area codes with an area of over 435 hectares, an output of about 3,335 tons, and more than 118,300 hectares of coffee with international certifications such as 4C, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, along with 346 hectares with VietGAP and 275 hectares with organic certification.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Linh, Deputy Head of the Lam Dong Agricultural Product Quality, Processing and Market Development Department, said: “Farmers complying with production standards not only helps to clearly trace the origin and increase the value of products, but also qualifies them to participate in the European Union Deforestation Reduction (EUDR) coffee supply chain. Enterprises that are affiliated to purchase EUDR-standard coffee are currently signing contracts with prices 10-15% higher than the market price, thereby helping growers increase their income sustainably.”

Currently, Lam Dong has 67 chains linking farmers, cooperatives and enterprises, with 29,442 households participating on an area of 55,491 hectares, with an output of 185,636 tons/year, equivalent to 18.5% of the province's coffee output. In the 2024-2025 crop year, Lam Dong's coffee output exported to demanding markets such as Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Spain and Germany will reach 158,253 tons, with a turnover of about 478.86 million USD.

In addition to the brand "Da Lat - Miraculous crystallization from the good land", the province has 15 coffee brands with intellectual property protection, such as Godere, Dak Tin, Hai Nhung, Hoang Gia Phu, Viet Nong, Enjoy Coffee, Day Coffee..., and 6 recognized product brands, typically Dak Mil Coffee, Bazan Coffee, Lang Biang Arabica Coffee, Cau Dat Arabica Coffee.

In addition, the province is implementing 11 projects to expand the coffee production and consumption chain with a total cost of more than VND 8.2 billion, contributing to stabilizing output, ensuring uniform quality and creating a sustainable source of raw materials for deep processing enterprises. In fact, when participating in high-quality coffee chains, farmers have gradually changed their thinking from output to quality and value, focusing on clean production processes, selective harvesting, wet processing and standard drying, meeting domestic and international criteria.

To continue developing the Lam Dong coffee brand in the coming time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment aims to encourage farmers to participate in a closed chain from production to consumption, while supporting businesses to invest in deep processing such as roasting, instant coffee and packaged specialty coffee, in order to increase the proportion of processed product exports instead of just exporting raw coffee beans.

Improving competitiveness and expanding international markets will help Lam Dong coffee affirm its position on the world coffee map, becoming a symbol of quality, sustainability and high added value.
