Another airline opens international flights to Da Nang

DNVN - At 4:20 p.m. on October 20, Scoot Airlines flight TR314, departing from Changi Airport (Singapore) landed at Da Nang Airport with 174 passengers, marking the airline's first flight to Da Nang City.

With this flight, Scoot Airlines has officially launched the Singapore - Da Nang direct route with a frequency of 3 flights/week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and is expected to increase to 7 flights/week from January 2026. Flights are operated by Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 - 186 seats.

The flight was warmly welcomed by the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, the Central Airport Authority, Da Nang International Airport... with a water cannon ceremony to welcome the plane, traditional art performances, flowers and souvenirs. The tourists were very excited and touched by the warm, friendly and hospitable welcome of Da Nang City.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang Tan Van Vuong said that with its close geographical location, convenient air connections and cultural similarities in the ASEAN region, the number of tourists from Singapore to Da Nang has recorded a steady growth trend.

With the participation of three airlines, Singapore Airlines, Vietjet Air and Scoot Airlines, the total flight frequency on the Singapore - Da Nang route has increased to 24 flights/week, contributing to increasing the exchange of tourists between Singapore and Da Nang, while expanding opportunities for cooperation in tourism development in the coming time.

So far, there have been a total of 19 direct international flights from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan (China), Macau (China), Hong Kong (China), Cambodia, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, India, Myanmar, UAE to Da Nang airport with a frequency of about 60 flights/day.

Passengers on the flight were excited when they landed at Da Nang airport.

There are also 8 domestic flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Buon Ma Thuot, Hai Phong, Can Tho, Da Lat, Phu Quoc to Da Nang airport with a frequency of 61 flights/day and 2 domestic flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Chu Lai airport (Da Nang city) with a frequency of 6 flights/day.
