Live a good life, follow Uncle Ho's example

In recent years, the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee has widely deployed the model of "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" in residential areas, especially in religious and belief establishments, using many forms and diverse methods. "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Learning Corner" at the Cao Dai Binh Hoa Holy See in Binh Thanh Ward is considered a place of study for believers and the ward's Youth Union.

Catholic Ngoc Phung Thanh, the Board of Directors of the Cao Dai Binh Hoa Holy See, said: “We always consider studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style as an important content in religious practice. In their sermons, dignitaries and believers often introduce and discuss President Ho Chi Minh's ideology of humanity, diligence, thrift, integrity and uprightness, the spirit of national solidarity and love for humanity, considering these values very close to the truth of "Humanity - Justice - Propriety - Wisdom - Trust" that Cao Dai upholds."

“In addition, Binh Hoa Holy See also displays images, documents, and quotes from Uncle Ho's teachings in the community activity area; organizes seminars and talks on "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" to help believers better understand his morality and noble, simple style.

We also launch charity activities, such as taking care of poor households, donating blood, planting trees to protect the environment, etc. We see this as the most practical way to demonstrate the spirit of 'Living a good life, following the example of great Uncle Ho,' parishioner Ngoc Phung Thanh added.

Not only at the Cao Dai Binh Hoa Holy See, the “Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space” has also spread strongly in the Chinese community in Cho Lon ward. Ms. Ngo Le Chau, Deputy Standing Committee of On Lang Assembly Hall, said: “The Assembly Hall is a place for cultural and religious activities closely associated with our Chinese community. In addition to its role in preserving traditional identity, the Assembly Hall is also one of the pioneering units in implementing the “Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space” in Cho Lon ward.”

At the "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" at On Lang Assembly Hall, documents and images about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh are solemnly displayed, blending with the unique cultural space of the assembly hall, to express gratitude and respect for Uncle Ho, while contributing to spreading his ideology, morality and style to the Chinese people.

"The association also combines the construction of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space with meaningful social activities such as the Gratitude movement, supporting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, sponsoring seriously wounded soldiers, caring for poor households and awarding Dream Bridge scholarships to students in difficult circumstances.

Not stopping there, On Lang Assembly Hall also plans to expand, add more images of cultural and educational activities and organize for students from local schools to visit, helping the younger generation better understand the tradition of solidarity and culture of the Chinese people associated with Ho Chi Minh's ideology", Ms. Ngo Le Chau emphasized.

Bringing closer to young people

To bring President Ho Chi Minh's fine traditional cultural values closer to young people, the Fatherland Front system in wards, communes and special zones in Ho Chi Minh City has promoted digital transformation, creating a strong spread of Uncle Ho's thoughts and style in modern life.

Mr. Vo Minh Triet, Chairman of the Cho Lon Ward Fatherland Front Committee, said: “Implementing the direction of the Ward Party Committee, the Cho Lon Ward Fatherland Front Committee has mobilized religious establishments in the area to maintain and expand the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space model. This is considered a key activity, aiming to honor and spread the unique values in Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; at the same time contributing to inspiring and strengthening the spirit of solidarity and cohesion among ethnic minorities and religious followers in the ward”.

Up to now, in Cho Lon ward, there have been seven "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces" formed at religious establishments out of a total of 31 religious and belief establishments. "We will continue to promote the replication of this model in the coming time, in order to create more cultural activities and educate the moral values of Ho Chi Minh in the community," Mr. Triet shared.

Binh Hoa Cao Dai Holy See (Binh Thanh ward) is both a place for religious practice and a place to practice and study the philosophies, thoughts and styles of Uncle Ho.

In addition, the Cho Lon Ward Fatherland Front Committee together with religious establishments have concretized the "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" with many practical activities such as: organizing the first Social Security Festival in 2025; the program "Cho Lon vegetarian cuisine with affection - Joining hands for the community" or affectionate meals, awarding scholarships and taking care of Tet for ethnic minorities and religious followers.

In particular, in the context of Ho Chi Minh City promoting digital transformation, the Cho Lon Ward Fatherland Front Committee has proactively applied technology to the "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces". "We always coordinate closely with religious establishments to carefully develop exhibition content, ensuring closeness and accessibility. Each space has a QR code to help people easily look up information, documents, and images about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh. Thereby, people of all walks of life, especially young people, can access it more quickly and conveniently", Mr. Vo Minh Triet added.

Not only stopping at digitizing documents, this model also creates conditions for religious establishments to regularly update new information, integrating the Party and State's policies and guidelines on studying and following Uncle Ho. "We hope that each Ho Chi Minh cultural space will always be innovative, lively and close, so that when people come, they can feel Uncle Ho's spirit and arouse the awareness of self-study and self-training in daily life," Mr. Vo Minh Triet affirmed.

The construction of "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" aims to form Vietnamese people in the new period - with new thinking, new ways of doing and creating new values, becoming a practical activity, bringing practical benefits to the people.

Ms. Hoang Mai Quynh Hoa, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thanh Ward, said that in the coming time, the ward will continue to accompany religious establishments, guide and support more practical activities. The goal is to help believers deeply understand the motto "Bright religion - Glorious life", contributing to the good implementation of the direction of action for the happiness of the people of Binh Thanh Ward.

In addition to maintaining the physical cultural space, the ward is also aiming to build a "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" in a new direction, applying digital technology. This is a new step, both a requirement and a challenge. In addition to traditional forms of propaganda such as: Special talks, distributing leaflets integrated into religious activities, the Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thanh Ward will develop the model of "Intangible Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" on a digital platform.

“This is the passion of the Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thanh Ward to help believers, even if they are not directly present in the locality, to still be able to access, learn and feel the results and values that religious establishments have been and are implementing. Thereby, spreading more strongly the spirit of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in a practical, close and deep way into people's lives", Ms. Quynh Hoa shared.
