Ho Chi Minh City: Rescue forces promptly brought 127 people out of flooded areas to safety.

In the early morning of October 23, prolonged heavy rain caused many areas in Ben Cat Ward (Ho Chi Minh City) to be deeply flooded, with water levels rising nearly 2 meters in some places. Upon receiving the news, the Ho Chi Minh City Fire Prevention and Rescue Police (PCCC&CNCH) quickly deployed forces and vehicles to the scene to organize rescue and bring people out of the danger zone.

According to information from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07), at 1:08 a.m., the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 31 received a report of local flooding in many households in Ben Cat Ward. Immediately after that, the unit mobilized 20 officers, soldiers and specialized vehicles to the scene. At the same time, Team 3 was also reinforced with 9 officers, soldiers and a rescue vehicle to support.

Under the direct command of Major Truong Phuong Duy, Deputy Captain of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 31, the rescue force urgently approached three heavily flooded areas: Cau Doi Quarter (Group 8), the area near Mai Thanh Wood Company Ltd. and Quarter 5.

After many hours of effort in fast-flowing water and heavy rain, authorities rescued and safely moved 127 people out of the danger zone, including many children and the elderly.

Thanks to timely and synchronous deployment, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Force of Ho Chi Minh City helped people escape flooded areas safely, minimizing damage caused by floods.
