Spread love during the full moon season

To welcome the new moon season, the youth of Hiep Hoa commune, Tay Ninh province carried out many practical and meaningful activities. These activities not only brought joy to rural children welcoming the moon but also spread the spirit of sharing, contributing to beautifying the countryside.

The Youth Union of Hiep Hoa commune coordinated with the Faculty of Business Administration, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry to implement the Mid-Autumn Festival of Love season 3 at Truong Cong Xuong Primary School.

Promoting the pioneering role in local movements, the Youth Union of Hiep Hoa commune coordinated with the Faculty of Business Administration, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and the Student Union of the Faculty of Library and Information Science, VO-LIS Volunteer Club, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University to carry out meaningful activities on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival.

The opening of the series of activities was the youth project “Clean Streets, Green Roads”. On the first day of the campaign, the commune’s union members and student volunteers cleaned the roads, planted trees and installed 5 trash bins on residential roads. The project not only contributed to beautifying the landscape but also raised awareness of maintaining public hygiene and protecting a green, clean and beautiful environment.

Secretary of the Youth Union of Hiep Hoa Commune Tran Thai Sang said: “Volunteer activities not only bring joy to children but also demonstrate the sense of responsibility and enthusiasm of young people towards the locality. Through each part of the work, we hope to contribute to spreading the spirit of sharing, solidarity and joining hands to build our homeland to be more civilized and affectionate.”

In addition to environmental projects, social welfare activities were also implemented, carrying profound humanitarian meaning. “Zero-dong stalls” were organized to share difficulties with local people. Necessities and clothes were donated by union members and students, neatly arranged for people to receive. The image of hands giving and receiving in simple joy made the atmosphere here even warmer.

Ho Thi Ngoc Tram - a member of Hiep Hoa commune, shared: "I feel happy to be able to contribute to helping people in difficult circumstances. This is an opportunity for each member to better understand the value of sharing, helping me love and be more attached to my homeland."

The Youth Union of Hiep Hoa commune also joined student volunteers to organize a colorful full moon festival at Hiep Hoa Primary School and Truong Cong Xuong Primary School.

Programs such as Mid-Autumn Festival of Love Season 3 - theme "The Wish I Bring", "Happy Festival of Walking with the Moon" and workshop "Skillful Hands - Beautiful Lanterns", festival "Bright Moon on the Full Moon Day" took place one after another, attracting a large number of children to participate. Children were able to make lanterns, play folk games, and participate in art programs with student volunteers.

Many Mid-Autumn gifts were given to primary school students.

In addition, in this series of activities, the Youth Union of Hiep Hoa commune together with the Student Union of the Faculty of Library and Information Science, the VO-LIS Volunteer Club, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University) awarded 10 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances at Hiep Hoa Primary School and 5 gifts to policy households in the area. Although the gifts are small, they show the heart of sharing, contributing to a warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival.

Tran Huy Bao - Head of VO-LIS Club, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University), expressed: "This is the first time I have participated in organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival in Tay Ninh province. Looking at the children eagerly playing, I feel that my efforts are rewarded. Through this activity, we learn a lot about sharing and solidarity."

Mid-Autumn Festival activities not only bring joy to everyone but also affirm the spirit of vanguard and responsibility of young people towards their homeland and country./.
