PV : Could you tell us about the current situation, how much damage has the Nghe An electricity industry suffered due to the impact of storm No. 5?

Mr. Le Quang Thanh: Storm No. 5 that landed in Nghe An on the evening of August 25 was a major storm, causing very heavy damage to the power grid system in the province. Immediately after the storm passed, Nghe An Electricity Company directed its affiliated units to urgently carry out inspections, isolate the problem and organize forces to fix it. The number one goal is to restore power as soon as possible to serve people's lives, as well as production and business establishments and hospitals.

PV: Currently, which area has the most widespread power outage, sir?

Mr. Le Quang Thanh: The most affected areas include Vinh City, Cua Lo, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, and Hoang Mai Town (old). In Vinh City (old) in particular, widespread power outages were mainly caused by trees falling onto power lines, breaking wires and poles.

PV: So how is the progress of the repair? How has the company mobilized human resources to handle it?

Mr. Le Quang Thanh: Following the direction of the Northern Power Corporation and the Company's leadership, we aim to restore the entire medium-voltage grid in the old Vinh City area and some key areas today (August 26). After that, we will continue to handle the low-voltage lines, gradually restoring power to households according to the motto "wherever we handle, we supply power there".

Regarding manpower, the Company has mobilized all officers and employees in the unit. At the same time, the Corporation also sent 3 Deputy General Directors directly to Nghe An to direct the recovery work. At the same time, shock troops from other power companies have also been mobilized to support. We are making every effort to restore power to the people as soon as possible.
