The Thu Bon Festival is a cultural and spiritual ritual that bears the mark of the folk religious life of the residents associated with the Thu Bon River.

This traditional festival expresses the desire for prosperity, praying for bountiful harvests, favorable weather, national peace and prosperity. The festival takes place on March 20 and 21 at Lang Ba in Duy Tan commune (Duy Xuyen) and Dinh Ba in Trung Phuoc town (Nong Son).

The ceremony includes the decoration ceremony, the royal procession, the water procession, the great sacrifice ceremony, and the royal completion ceremony. The festival includes volleyball tournaments, boat racing, singing Bai Choi, home economics competitions, volleyball, village flags, etc.
