All of the above earthquakes have a focal depth of about 8.1 km and a natural disaster risk level of 0. The Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Center - Institute of Earth Sciences is continuing to monitor these earthquakes.

From 2021 to now, hundreds of earthquakes have been recorded in Quang Ngai (formerly Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province), including large earthquakes measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale causing widespread tremors.

According to scientists, “triggered earthquakes” are the cause of earthquakes in recent years in Kon Tum province (old).

Currently, the Institute of Geophysics is deploying 11 monitoring stations in Kon Tum (old), and conducting in-depth updated research to determine the level of earthquake activity in this locality.
