A series of super rare crocodile leather designs similar to Hermès bags that Ms. Truong My Lan asked for back

If the Birkin bag is considered the "holy grail" of Hermès leather goods , then the Himalaya design is the "holy grail" of Birkin bags, according to luxury handbag retailer Madison Avenue Couture.

The Hermès Himalaya bag style begins with Nile crocodile skin – a local African crocodile with large scales.

Next, the leather is meticulously hand-dyed, creating a smoky gray color on the sides of the bag, and a pearl white color in the middle. The color transition from dark to light is skillfully and beautifully expressed. The design evokes the snow-capped Himalayan mountain range, with its rocky slopes.

The artistic vision and skill required to achieve this exquisite color is unparalleled.

Hermès' unique Himalaya style has attracted the attention of many luxury brands, and from here, other Himalaya Birkin bag designs were born.

Hermès Birkin Himalaya

The Birkin Himalaya is the most coveted handbag in fashion history. For many years, it was the only handbag Hermès produced in the Himalaya style. Polished palladium hardware was always incorporated.

The Himalaya Birkin bag comes in three sizes (bottom length) of 25cm, 30cm and 35cm.

The Birkin Himalaya 25 currently retails for between $45,000 and $65,000 at Hermès (prices may vary by country and local taxes). In the US, the bag currently retails for around $61,700.

To add to the rarity and extravagance of the Birkin Himalaya, Hermès released a diamond-encrusted version. Instead of using palladium, the bag’s hardware is crafted from 18K white gold and studded with diamonds. Hermès Kelly Himalaya

Seeing the huge demand for a Himalayan Kelly bag, Hermès has produced a limited number of the style. On the website of luxury handbag retailer SACLÀB, the Himalaya 28 Kelly is currently priced at €82,100 (£65,000).

Similar to its "sister" Birkin, the Kelly Himalaya bag also has a diamond-encrusted version. In November 2021, Christie's auction house in Hong Kong (China) sold the diamond-encrusted Retourné Kelly Himalaya 28 bag for about $510,000 (12.5 billion VND) (Photo: Sotheby's, SACLÀB, Purse Bop).

Lady Dior Himalaya

The Lady Dior Himalaya combines the elegant, sophisticated features of the Lady Dior bag with the striking appearance of white and gray dyed crocodile leather. The brand's initials are wrapped in leather in the same color as the bag, creating a luxurious and classy overall look.
