Why used 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1s are more expensive to resell than new 2025 supercars

A 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Coupe 3ZR ZTK in Long Beach red has been offered for sale by a dealer in the US for $325,000, higher than new supercars.

This 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Coupe featured the 3ZR Premium Package, ZTK Track Performance Package, and low mileage. It recently sold at auction for just under $325,000 (before buyer’s fees), a remarkable achievement for a car that originally retailed for just $141,580.

This is a record sale for a used C7 ZR1. The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Coupe 3ZR ZTK has a gorgeous Long Beach Red Metallic Tintcoat exterior. It blends perfectly with all the carbon fiber clear coat. It is one of only 69 reported to have this paint.

Other exterior highlights include a removable carbon fiber hood scoop, xenon headlights, a vented carbon fiber hood, and a tall, adjustable rear wing (provided by the ZTK package).

The car also comes with 19” and 21” ZR1 wheels painted in Satin Graphite, with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 285/30 at the front and 335/25 at the rear. Red Brembo brake calipers are also a subtle highlight.

Last but certainly not least, the powertrain. We're talking about GM's supercharged 6.2-liter LT5 V8, which makes 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft (1000 Nm) of torque from the factory.

This Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Coupe 3ZR ZTK sends power to the rear wheels through a 7-speed manual transmission, another reason it sells for such a high price.

Collectors often favor supercars with manual transmissions, and this is completely reasonable when the selling price of this 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is so high.
