On the morning of October 3, Ly Hoang Nam created what could be said to be the biggest controversy at the PPA Asia Tour. At the same time, Hoang Nam also lost to Truong Vinh Hien for the first time in the Asian pickleball tournament.

In Game 1, Ly Hoang Nam easily defeated his tennis junior with a score of 11-5. The audience can predict that the former number 1 tennis player of Vietnam can easily win in 2 games.

Game 2 sparked controversy over whether the ball was in or out. Ly Hoang Nam had two "in" calls at the end of game 2, but both were ruled "out" by the referee.

In fact, in the replay video , Ly Hoang Nam's two "calls in" clearly showed the ball going out. Perhaps from Nam's perspective on the field, the ball could have touched the ground at a point on the line.

In this game, Truong Vinh Hien won 11-9 despite serving twice but failing both times. Besides, Ly Hoang Nam's frustrations were also gradually accumulating.

Game 3 also had controversy with 2 inside and outside shots by Ly Hoang Nam. This time, Truong Vinh Hien took the initiative to catch the ball out by pointing his finger up to the sky to signal.

According to the rules, the players will actively catch the ball in and out and the final decision is up to the referee. Thus, the referee recognized Vinh Hien's 2 "call outs".

Too disappointed and frustrated with the two situations where the ball was not recognized on the field, Ly Hoang Nam went to his seat. He continuously tried to convince the referee as well as Vinh Hien.

Truong Vinh Hien still believed that the ball was out. He even asked the referee to let Ly Hoang Nam watch the live stream again to verify. However, that was invalid.

And of course, when he was no longer in the mood to compete, Ly Hoang Nam continuously made mistakes and lost 6-11 in the decisive game 3. Vinh Hien defeated his senior for the first time at the PPA Asia Tour.
