Moana is about to usurp the throne of Lynx, Prince of Bac Lieu is about to hit theaters

With just two early screenings over the past weekend, Moana 2 easily took over the box office throne from Lynx: Possession.

If we look at the past three weekends as a whole, Lynx: Possessed still leads the box office, earning 11 billion VND from 5,689 screenings - half the amount when it first hit theaters, bringing total revenue to 67.3 billion VND after nearly 2 weeks of showing.

On the other hand, in the North American market, Variety report Moana 2 grossed $221 million over the Thanksgiving holiday (November 27 to December 1), surpassing two previous records. Frozen ($93.6 million) and Frozen II ($125 million).

Inspired by the famous legend of the character known as "the world's number one playboy", The Prince of Bac Lieu is a psychological comedy, recreating the setting of the ancient Southern Vietnam.

The main character - Ba Hon (Song Luan), the beloved son of Councilor Linh (Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc), the first banker in Vietnam - after returning from studying in France, used all his assets for lavish entertainment and debauchery and from then on was called by the people as "The Prince of Bac Lieu".
