The first day of nationwide alcohol concentration control, 1,294 violations were handled.

Following the direction of the Director of the Traffic Police Department on strengthening the Traffic Police force to control alcohol concentration on traffic routes nationwide during a certain time frame from 12:00 to 14:30 on October 18, the Traffic Police force of 34 local Public Security Departments has been deployed to control alcohol concentration.

As a result, 48,214 vehicles were checked (1,748 passenger cars, 3,495 trucks, 10,226 cars, 31,902 motorbikes, 843 rudimentary vehicles); 1,294 cases were recorded and handled (2 passenger cars, 17 trucks, 64 cars, 1,194 motorbikes, 17 rudimentary vehicles).

In particular, the localities with many violations detected are Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Bac Ninh , Hung Yen...

This control will create national synchronization to prevent violations and traffic accidents related to alcohol concentration. In addition, localities still organize alcohol concentration control and handle violations according to the functions and characteristics of the area.
