(Dan Tri) - The 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day has the theme "The Fatherland flies up" and was held for the first time in Hoa Lu City ( Ninh Binh ) with many innovations.
According to poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers' Association, the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day takes place in the context of the country celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and towards the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and 50 years of national reunification.
Therefore, the Organizing Committee chose the theme " The Fatherland flies up" , inspired by the verse "The Fatherland flies up in the immense spring" in the poem "Vietnam's Posture" by poet and martyr Le Anh Xuan.

In 2025, Vietnam Poetry Day will be held in Ninh Binh province to implement the idea and policy of the Vietnam Writers Association to bring National Poetry Day to the public nationwide.

According to poet Huu Viet, preparations for this year’s Vietnam Poetry Day encountered many difficulties due to the early arrival of Tet and the tight timeframe. In addition, the Organizing Committee invited poets from many different regions and all ages, so the arrangements were quite complicated.
"Many poets accepted but then declined due to health reasons, some could not arrange their work at the office. However, after much effort, the preparations are now almost complete," said poet Huu Viet.

The public will listen to the poetry of poets: Nguyen Dinh Thi, Nguyen Khoa Diem, Huu Thinh, Le Thu, Tran Dang Khoa, Phan Hoang, Nguyen Viet Chien, Tran Kim Hoa, Dinh Thi Nhu Thuy, Binh Nguyen... and poets who matured after the renovation and are making an impression on the literary world: Nguyen Bao Chan, Nguyen Tien Thanh, Nguyen Quang Hung, Phung Thi Huong Ly...
