People are proud to experience modern weapons and military equipment produced in Vietnam.

TPO – People eagerly came to see and experience the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024; expressing pride that Vietnam can produce many types of modern weapons and equipment, capable of protecting the territorial integrity of the Fatherland, bringing the country into a new era.

According to reporters, on December 21, tens of thousands of people from the northern provinces flocked to Gia Lam airport ( Hanoi ), lining up to visit modern weapons and equipment displayed at the exhibition.

The exhibition is open to the public free of charge from 9am to 5pm on December 21 and from 9am to 3pm on December 22. At the exhibition, people will be able to witness and experience many types of equipment, weapons, and military equipment manufactured and produced by Vietnamese defense industry enterprises; and state-of-the-art military equipment from major arms corporations in the world .

In formal uniform, veteran Khuat Van Hai, 76 years old, Son Tay town (Hanoi) and his comrades lined up to see the exhibition. Mr. Hai shared that through media channels and social networks, he learned that the exhibition had many types of modern weapons and military equipment produced by Vietnam. He looked forward to the defense exhibition to see with his own eyes the modern weapons designed and manufactured by Vietnamese military engineers.

“Last night I couldn’t sleep, I waited until 5am to wake up with my teammates and take 3 buses to come here to see the exhibition. Witnessing the modern weapons and military equipment produced by Vietnam was a pleasure to see. When the information first appeared online that Vietnam could produce missiles, I was very skeptical, but now I have seen it with my own eyes. How great! I am proud of my nation and the heroic Vietnam People’s Army!”, Mr. Hai expressed his pride.

The "Red River" anti-ship missile (VSM-01A) was researched and manufactured by Vietnam.

Despite the cold weather early in the morning, Mr. Nguyen Van Nam traveled all the way from Hai Phong city to see the exhibition. Mr. Nam said that the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 is open to the public, he asked his grandson to drive from Hai Phong to see it, to admire the modern weapons of advanced countries and those produced in Vietnam.

“I am interested in the types of weapons produced in Vietnam, to know how the Vietnamese defense industry has developed. I was really surprised to see aircraft and missiles produced in Vietnam placed next to military equipment from advanced countries. This is the pride of the Vietnamese people. I hope the Party, State and Army will continue to invest in research, production and master many modern weapons, capable of protecting the territorial integrity of the Fatherland, bringing the country into a new era - the era of national development,” said Mr. Nam.

TP-150 aircraft is produced by Vietnam in cooperation with Italy.
