The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Gia Vien Ward was launched — Comrade Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee congratulated the new Executive Committee of Gia Vien Ward Trade Union.

On the morning of October 10, Gia Vien Ward Trade Union held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. This is a representative congress of trade unions at the commune, ward, and special zone levels in the city.

Gia Vien Ward Union is assigned to monitor and manage 134 grassroots unions with more than 6,000 union members. Of which, the public sector not receiving budget salaries has 12 grassroots unions with nearly 990 union members; the production and business sector has 122 grassroots unions with more than 5,000 union members.

With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", in the 2025 - 2030 term, Gia Vien Ward Trade Union strives to complete key targets and tasks such as annually developing 70 - 100 union members, establishing 2 - 3 grassroots unions; annually supporting 1 - 2 "Union Shelters"; throughout the term introducing 70 - 100 outstanding union members for the Party to consider and admit...

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the City Labor Federation, emphasized that the first Gia Vien Ward Trade Union Congress is an important event, marking a new step of development of the ward trade union activities according to the 2-level local government model.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Ward Union needs to continue to strongly innovate, improve the quality of activities to accompany the local development, promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations, care for the lives, ensure the rights and interests of union members in the area. Continue to stabilize the organizational structure, perfect the internal rules and regulations, review the business establishments in the area to propagate, mobilize, develop union members, and establish grassroots unions where conditions permit.

In the immediate future, the Ward Union will focus on building a plan to take care of Tet for union members and workers with the policy "All union members have Tet, no union member is left behind".

At the congress, the City Labor Federation announced the decision to appoint the Gia Vien Ward Trade Union Executive Committee, term 1, 2025 - 2030, consisting of 11 comrades. Mr. Vu Duc Dung continues to hold the position of Chairman of Gia Vien Ward Trade Union for the term 2025 - 2030.

During the past term, Gia Vien Ward Trade Union and local trade unions promoted the role and functions of the Trade Union organization in representing and protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members. The rate of signing new collective labor agreements reached 117%, and the re-signing rate reached 114% of the assigned plan.

The ward union subsidized one union member who passed away due to a serious illness, supported the construction of one "Union Shelter", organized free eye examinations for 200 union members and gave 800 gifts worth 100 million VND to workers...

Patriotic emulation movements among workers, civil servants and laborers are promoted, contributing to the excellent completion of production, business and political tasks of agencies, units and enterprises.
