Beauty Duong Tra Giang is Miss Student Vietnam, receiving an award worth more than 11 billion VND

Surpassing 26 other students, beauty Duong Tra Giang from the School of Business and Administration, Hanoi National University won the first Miss Student Vietnam title. She received a prize worth more than 11 billion VND.

The final night of the Miss University Vietnam 2024 contest took place on the evening of December 15, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province.

Students of the School of Business and Management crowned

With the theme of Original Beauty , 27 beauties from universities and academies across the country competed in Ao Dai, Bikini, Evening Gown and Behavioral Competitions. The judges of the final night included director Nguyen Truong Son - President of the Vietnam Advertising Association (head of the jury), historian Duong Trung Quoc, model Ha Anh, artist Ha Thu Huong... and honorary judges Miss Le Hoang Phuong, runner-up Huong Ly, Lydie Vu.

The final top 5 contestants entering the behavioral round include the following beauties: Truong Thi Ngoc Lan (Thang Long University); Duong Tra Giang (School of Management and Business, Hanoi National University); Tran Thanh Truc (University of Foreign Languages, Hanoi National University); Dinh Ngan Ha (University of Foreign Trade) and Nguyen Linh Chi (University of Foreign Languages, Hanoi National University). The difference in the behavioral round of Miss Student Vietnam compared to other beauty contests is that the organizers give themes corresponding to the colors for the contestants to choose from. Each theme has 4-6 paintings on the topics of women, human life, peace , labor, patriotism. From there, the beauties observe, string together the content from the paintings and give their personal opinions, spreading the message.

In the final result, beauty Duong Tra Giang from the School of Business Administration (Hanoi National University) won the crown of Miss Student Vietnam season 1. She received a total prize value of 11.45 billion VND including cash and gifts. The title of first runner-up was awarded to beauty Dinh Ngan Ha (Foreign Trade University) with a prize worth 1 billion VND. Beauty Truong Thi Ngoc Lan (Thang Long University) won the title of second runner-up, receiving a prize worth 900 million VND. Sharing the title of third runner-up were beauties Tran Thanh Truc and Nguyen Linh Chi, both students of the University of Foreign Languages (Hanoi National University). Each student received a prize worth 600 million VND.

In addition, the organizing committee also awarded many secondary prizes: Most Favorite Beauty, Miss Tourism (Truong Thi Ngoc Lan, Thang Long University); Miss Talent (Dinh Ngan Ha, Foreign Trade University); Miss Charity (Tran Thanh Truc, University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Miss Ao Dai (Nguyen Thi Hien Luong, Central University of Art Education); Miss with the Most Beautiful Face (Vu Thuy Tien, Diplomatic Academy); Miss Body (Nguyen Linh Chi, University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Miss with the Most Beautiful Skin, Miss Fashion (Duong Tra Giang, School of Management and Business, Vietnam National University, Hanoi). Each secondary prize is worth 300 million VND including cash and gifts.

Miss Vietnam Student loves art

Duong Tra Giang is currently a student at the School of Business and Administration. She is 1.7m tall, with measurements of 86 - 60 - 91. Tra Giang is a student who actively participates in volunteer and social activities. She has a passion for art, so she joined the DOTP Cinema and Theater Club. Tra Giang received the second prize for excellent MC propagandist in 2017 of Hoan Kiem district. In the behavioral competition, Duong Tra Giang chose the topic of human life. She shared: "Time is infinite, but human life is limited and short. Living life to the fullest, living every moment, living so as not to waste is my point of view. Participating in the Miss Student Vietnam 2024 contest was the best decision for me. It doesn't matter what stage of life we are living in because every stage is important, let's live with everything we have, live meaningfully".

According to the organizers, Miss Vietnam Student seeks and honors comprehensive beauty from knowledge, intelligence, spirit to body. The contest sends a message about the value of youth, dedication and the importance of knowledge in spreading the beauty of Vietnam to international friends.
