Compared to the opening round of 73 strokes (+1), Nguyen Anh Minh showed a clear adjustment in his approach to the challenging course of Tanah Merah Country Club (Singapore).

Solid drives and delicate handling in important situations helped the 18-year-old golfer continuously create scoring opportunities.

With 5 birdies, Anh Minh finished round 2 with 70 strokes (-2), thereby increasing 13 places on the personal ranking, temporarily ranked T22 with a total score of -1 after 2 rounds.

Anh Minh's personal efforts and results are positive signals showing the increasingly clear competitiveness of Vietnamese golf in the world arena.

Meanwhile, Ho Anh Huy and Nguyen Duc Son could not improve their results when they both scored 76 in both days of competition. This result prevented the Vietnamese team from improving their ranking, standing at 31st out of 36 countries participating in the 2025 World Amateur Team Championship.

The World Amateur Team Championships (WATC), organized every two years by the International Golf Federation (IGF), is the world's largest playground for amateur golfers. The tournament consists of two events: the Eisenhower Trophy (men) and the Espirito Santo Trophy (women).

In 2025, Vietnam will have representatives in both categories for the first time. The men's team includes Nguyen Anh Minh, Nguyen Duc Son and Ho Anh Huy. The women's team includes Le Chuc An, Anna Le and Arena Tran.

According to the format, each team consists of 3 golfers, and in each round, the two best scores will count towards the team score. After 4 rounds, the total score will determine the final ranking.

The women's team that played first finished the tournament with a total score of +52, ranking 34th overall.
