Unexpected confession of a teacher with a 'special' record of beating students and strangling colleagues

Regarding the case of "Teacher strangled by colleague in the middle of the school yard for reminding him of illegal parking", Mr. Dang Tang (Math teacher, Vo Nguyen Giap High School, Ea O commune, Dak Lak ) is the person who is said to have strangled his colleague in the school yard and has spoken out.

Mr. Tang once reported being beaten by a group of colleagues right at school, causing injuries.

Mr. Tang said that the incident was not as reported by the school and teacher Nguyen Truc Sinh (the one who was beaten). Mr. Tang said that he and teacher Sinh had a conflict. The incident started on the evening of May 18, 2024, the school organized a party, had a friendly dinner. Then it rained, the power went out, the teachers left one by one, leaving only Mr. Tang and 4 other teachers, including teacher Sinh.

Here, a conflict broke out between Mr. Tang and 4 teachers, leading to a fight. “I was beaten until my face was torn and bleeding. I tried to run home, and the next morning my relatives took me to Ea Kar Medical Center for examination and treatment. My medical records are still here. I filed a complaint, but the police (at that time, Ea Kar District Police) said there was no basis for criminal prosecution, and those involved all denied the beating. I felt very wronged, because in reality, I was beaten, but no one was punished,” said Mr. Tang.

Mr. Tang's medical records show that he was admitted to the hospital at 8:00 a.m. on May 19, 2024.

Regarding the incident of strangling Mr. Sinh on October 3, 2025, Mr. Tang said it was just "the last straw". Mr. Tang said that on October 1, 2025, he parked his motorbike right under the royal poinciana tree near the security room. He admitted that he parked his motorbike illegally, but many other teachers also parked their motorbikes around the school. At that time, Mr. Sinh reminded him about this. After the second period break, he went out but could not find his motorbike. When he went to look for it, the students pointed him to the student parking lot. He was upset so he left his motorbike under the royal poinciana tree and continued to class.

In the middle of the third period, Mr. Tang looked outside and could no longer see the bike. “I guessed that Mr. Sinh had ordered it to be put in the garage again. After the lesson ended, I went out to look for the bike but could not find it. Some students teased me, saying, “Where is the teacher’s bike?” which made me even more angry. I continued to look, but the security guard and some students who knew what was going on pointed me out onto the street. When I ran out, I saw that the bike had been left outside, and the seat was still hot. This made me very upset,” Mr. Tang said.

Not only that, Mr. Tang added that when he drove a short distance, the front tire of the car shook because of a flat tire, so he had to find a place to pump the tire. After driving a little further, he discovered that the rear tire was also flat, so he had to drive nearly 10 kilometers to find a repair shop to replace the tube.

On October 3, Mr. Tang went to school and parked his bike under a royal poinciana tree. Teacher Sinh continued to remind him. “I was already upset because my bike was thrown out on the street like the day before, so I argued with Teacher Sinh. I grabbed his neck but didn’t squeeze him. The video also clearly shows this,” Mr. Tang added.

Mr. Tang admitted that his reaction to Mr. Sinh on the morning of October 3 was inappropriate. He contacted the school to arrange a meeting with Mr. Sinh to apologize in person. However, Mr. Tang did not agree with Mr. Sinh's behavior of allowing someone to move and throw his motorbike out on the street, causing damage to the vehicle.

Mr. Tang also said that the authorities need to investigate and handle the matter of him being beaten by a group in 2024. Regarding the content of being disciplined 5 times, Mr. Tang said he only received 2 decisions (1 decision from Vo Nguyen Giap High School, 1 decision from Tran Nhan Tong High School, the two places he worked before). Mr. Tang denied beating the students, only "deterring" them with the purpose of "teaching", but admitted that his actions were somewhat excessive.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Truc Sinh said that he had no conflict with Mr. Tang. He also denied beating Mr. Tang in 2024 and did not order Mr. Tang's car to be thrown out on the street.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Principal of Vo Nguyen Giap High School, said that the police concluded that Mr. Tang's accusation of being beaten by four teachers at school was baseless.

Regarding Mr. Tang's claim that Mr. Sinh threw his motorbike outside the school gate on October 1, the Principal of Vo Nguyen Giap High School - Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung said he did not hear Mr. Tang's report. When reporters asked if the school could extract the camera for inspection, Mr. Dung said: "The camera system only stores data for 2-3 days."

As Tien Phong reported, Vo Nguyen Giap High School (Ea O commune, Dak Lak) sent a report, requesting the Department of Education and Training and the Police to intervene in the case of Mr. Dang Tang causing injury and strangling Mr. Nguyen Truc Sinh when he was reminded about illegal parking. In addition, Mr. Tang frequently violated regulations, had an aggressive attitude, and was disrespectful to colleagues and students.

Mr. Dang Tang has been disciplined 5 times, 3 of which were at Tran Nhan Tong High School: In 2013, he was reprimanded for insulting and slapping students, insulting colleagues, slandering leaders, and confiscating students' phones. In 2016, he was warned and had his salary increase extended because he did not have a lesson plan, taught wrong knowledge, broke students' phones, insulted ethnic minority students, and opposed leaders. In 2019, he was warned again for not having a lesson plan, beating students in front of observers, and showing disregard for school rules.

At Vo Nguyen Giap High School, Mr. Tang was reprimanded in January 2024 for insulting the honor and physically abusing a student. In January 2025, he was warned for similar behavior.
