Dong Hoi Airport's T2 passenger terminal is expected to start construction in August 2024.

(Fatherland) - On March 5, news from the People's Committee of Quang Binh province said that the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with representatives of the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) on matters related to the project to build Passenger Terminal T2 and expand the aircraft parking lot - Dong Hoi Airport.

This project will expand the aircraft parking area to build 4 new aircraft parking positions, increasing the total number of aircraft parking positions to 8. The project is deployed on an area of ​​over 15 hectares; the total investment capital is 1,844 billion VND (100% of ACV's capital contribution) to achieve the goal of increasing the operating capacity to 3 million passengers/year.

"Quang Binh province really hopes for ACV's determination and the unanimous support of central and local agencies so that the project can be implemented soon because this is one of the province's important projects that has started construction and has a signboard "Project to celebrate the 420th anniversary of the formation of Quang Binh province".

Mr. Vu The Phiet, General Director of ACV, said that ACV is also highly determined and focused on directing the construction to start in August 2024 for the aircraft parking expansion project (expected to be completed and put into operation in March 2025) and the T2 Passenger Terminal construction project will start in October 2024 (expected to be completed and put into operation in March 2026).

Mr. Tran Thang, Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee, hopes that ACV will implement the project on schedule and with quality to help Quang Binh develop its economy and society in the coming time.

Mr. Vu The Phiet proposed the handover of clean land before June 2020 and hoped that Quang Binh province would continue to create favorable conditions for the project implementation, especially in site clearance so that the project could be implemented and completed on schedule as planned.

Mr. Tran Thang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, said that Quang Binh province will focus highly on site clearance and project implementation procedures. Quang Binh province's leaders have resolutely directed departments, branches, and localities to coordinate with ACV to implement the project steps and promptly report to competent authorities to remove difficulties and obstacles...
