The world's leading travel magazine Lonely Planet has just announced a list of the top 15 most attractive destinations in Vietnam, in which Quang Tri has 2 honored representatives.

On September 30, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri confirmed that two destinations of this province have just entered the top 15 most attractive destinations in Vietnam voted by the world's leading travel magazine Lonely Planet .

Of which, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park is in the top 10. Vinh Moc Tunnels is in the top 15.

According to Lonely Planet , Phong Nha - Ke Bang is considered a "forgotten world" of primeval forests and giant caves. Notably, Son Doong - the largest cave in the world. Although the Son Doong tour is fully booked until 2026, visitors can still choose many other amazing caves in the area to experience.

Besides, Vinh Moc Tunnels is also considered a special destination in the journey to learn about history, along with Cu Chi Tunnels (HCMC). This is a place that preserves the vestiges of a fierce war, reflecting the enduring vitality and indomitable will of the local army and people.

Previously, in Hanoi, the tourism product "Legendary Truong Son Road - Commander Cave" (Thuong Trach commune) was also honored in the Creative Tourism Product category at the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 ceremony organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

"These honors once again affirm the diverse appeal of Quang Tri tourism: from cave, historical - cultural, adventure, ecological tourism to the application of technology in preserving and promoting cultural values. Thereby contributing to raising the brand of Quang Tri destination on the tourism map of Vietnam and the region," said the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri.

Previously, in July 2025, another travel magazine, Travel+Leisure, also published an article about Son Doong Cave. In the article, the magazine praised it as a place of surreal beauty.
