Drum7 (from Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh) is the music producer of the series of songs "Cut in half the sadness", "Been tren thang lau"... "making waves" on the music charts recently.
Drum7 music producer - Nguyen Huy Hoang Hiep.
Known and welcomed by the public as the music producer behind the success of a series of songs: Cut in half sadness, Above the floor, Turn on love, Le Luu Ly... the journey of pursuing passion of Nguyen Huy Hoang Hiep - also known by the stage name Drum7 (born 1992, hometown Cam Xuyen town, Cam Xuyen district) is an inspirational story for young people today.
The most surprising thing about Hoang Hiep is probably that he has never attended any music school. Although he has a passion for the arts, he is a bachelor of law when he graduated from the University of Law (Hue University) in 2014. He also had a job in his hometown before moving to Ho Chi Minh City to start a career in early 2019.
Passion has motivated Drum7 to explore and learn knowledge about music production.
Sharing about his decision, Drum7 said: “Since my university days, I have been passionate about music and art, actively participating in clubs and cultural and artistic activities. That is also the motivation for me to learn more about music. All knowledge about harmony, arrangement, music composition... I searched for documents and learned on Youtube, Google and foreign forums. When I felt that I had accumulated the necessary knowledge, I decided to pursue my passion.”

Starting a new life in Ho Chi Minh City is also the time when he can freely create with his passion. Constantly learning from colleagues and always being meticulous in each product is the way Hoang Hiep laid the first bricks for his career.
In 2020, Drum7 succeeded with his first major project - the song " Lazy to Love" by singer Bao Anh. Next, he had the chance to work with Tang Duy Tan and reaped many consecutive successful projects, receiving positive responses from domestic and international audiences.
Up to now, producer Drum7 has become a name that receives a lot of attention from Vietnamese music listeners as well as being trusted by many singers and musicians.
Far from home and having achieved success, Hoang Hiep still always looks back to his hometown Ha Tinh .
“When I was still in the countryside, Hiep, like many other young people, often kept to himself. Only when he had a suitable environment, no longer afraid of the criticism and judgments around him, could he fully develop his abilities and creativity.
That is also the advice I want to send to young people who love music, especially young people in Ha Tinh, to be more confident, more active, "release" your ego to do what you like. Besides, find yourself a playground, an environment that suits your talent, find yourself a guide, an cheerleader. That way you will soon have your own successes", Hoang Hiep shared.
Referring to his hometown Ha Tinh, the 9X guy also confided: “In the future, when I have a solid foundation, I will aim to make community music. That is also the time when I can incorporate Ha Tinh music into my music products to bring many practical contributions to society, help life become better and also contribute to spreading the beautiful image of the land, culture and people of Ha Tinh homeland”.
