Musician Nhuan Phu has just introduced the music videos Beloved Mother (performed by singer Do To Hoa) and Hanoi at the Season's Eve (performed by Tung Duong) - two works with different emotional colors but written with the loving heart and compassion of a woman.

Sharing the reason for releasing two MVs with two different themes at the same time, musician Nhuan Phu said: "It's all fate. I accept everything that comes to me with gratitude and naturally."

For her, each composition is a brainchild with its own story and destiny, but all contain a common message of love, compassion and belief in the beauty of life.

Hanoi at the changing of seasons is the voice of a Hanoian, borrowing old memories to convey his love for the elegant capital. Nhuan Phu composed music from the poem of the same name by poet Hong Thanh Quang, performed by singer Tung Duong.

The song was written by musician Nhuan Phu in a lyrical, simple style, reminiscent of the melodies of the late musician Phu Quang but still has its own unique, modern and youthful features with a subtle interwoven rap verse.

Tung Duong emotionally shared: "This is one of the beautiful songs about Hanoi. I feel that in Nhuan Phu's music there is a deep love for the homeland, contemplation and compassion. My sister writes very emotional music, sometimes in such a high range that only AI can sing it!".

The singer of "Rebirth" also recounted her childhood filled with memories with her close cousin: "When we were little, my sister and I used to play the family band. The stage was the bed, the velvet curtain was the curtain. I sang, Nhuan Phu beat the drum with a sticky rice pot and distributed paper tickets to the neighbors. I was so passionate about singing that I opened my eyes to see that the children of the same age - the reluctant audience - had all left. Those years nurtured in us a passion for music."

Nhuan Phu still remembers clearly the image of Tung Duong holding the small amount of savings he was given when he was preparing to go to Russia to visit his parents: "We are cousins but we are as close as real sisters. Until now, the image of Duong giving me money and telling me 'take it home and buy whatever you want' always reminds me of the irreplaceable love - family love."

Poet Hong Thanh Quang shared his feelings when he saw his poems "transformed" into music: "I have had many musicians set my poems to music, but Nhuan Phu brings something different. She is a fragile and delicate woman from Hanoi, so when writing about Hanoi, she does not repeat anyone but opens a new path. For me, if Phu Quang's music is a warm candlelight, then Nhuan Phu's music is the lamp that leads my poems to another horizon."

Director Tran Xuan Chung said that when making the MV, he wanted to recreate an ancient yet familiar Hanoi - where moss-covered roofs still resonate with old music: "I studied and grew up in Hanoi, so when I listen to this song, I feel like I see my childhood in it."

Different from the nostalgic tone of Hanoi at the changing of seasons , the song "Beloved Mother" is a gentle, simple but full of love song. The performance was given to singer Do To Hoa, a soprano voice highly appreciated in the chamber music scene.

To Hoa confided: "The song touches my heart with sincerity. When I sing it, I feel like I am reborn in the arms of my mother - the one who lulled me with her gentle lyrics. To me, Dear Mother is not only a work of art but also a reminder to be grateful and loving."

Very sympathetic to Do To Hoa's feelings, director Tran Xuan Chung recalled: "While filming in the studio, standing behind the screen, I saw Hoa really crying. I believe this MV will touch everyone's heart because each of us has a mother to love and be grateful to."

Musician Nhuan Phu said the inspiration for writing the song came from his memories of his mother and grandmother: "My mother was a literature teacher, my grandmother passed away early so she told me many stories about her. Both were Vietnamese women who were patient, hard-working, and self-sacrificing. My childhood was associated with the image of my mother knitting wool and sewing hats on winter nights after grading papers."

Born in 1981, musician Nhuan Phu grew up in a family with an artistic tradition. She is the niece of the late musician Tran Hoan, and has many relatives working in the arts such as Meritorious Artist Trong Thuy, Meritorious Artist Minh Quang, singer Tung Duong, singer-songwriter Tang Duy Tan...

She won a prize in a songwriting contest about Quang Tri with the song Linh Thieng Quang Tri, attracted attention with Vietnam - The Era of Rising (performed by Tung Duong) and many songs about the homeland such as Ve BLao Voi Anh, Ha Giang Co Via, Tender Memories of Autumn ...
