Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) has just awarded prizes to two lucky Viettel subscribers who won the Jackpot 1 prize in the Power 6/55 lottery worth 36.7 billion VND and the jackpot prize in the Lotto 5/35 lottery worth 10.2 billion VND.

Through checking the lottery business data system and the attached personal records, Vietlott determined that Mr. NVM - a Viettel subscriber registered to participate in the lottery in Thanh Hoa province - won Jackpot 1 Power 6/55 in the 1,253rd draw and Mr. P.D.L won the jackpot prize of Lotto 5/35 in the 209th draw.

Mr. NVM is currently living and doing business independently in Thanh Hoa. Mr. M shared that he has a habit of buying about 3-4 lottery tickets every day and randomly choosing numbers, the winning numbers are the random numbers he chooses for that day.

On his way home from work, Mr. M received a text message about his winning but he did not pay attention to the winning value. When he got home, he checked the text message and the winning numbers and found out that he had won Jackpot 1 Power 6/55.

“At that time, I couldn’t contain my emotions because I was so happy, but I didn’t dare to tell my family. It wasn’t until the next morning, when Vietlott announced it on its official fanpage and called the Vietlott hotline to check, that I officially informed my family. At first, my family didn’t believe it, but after I went up to fill out the documents to receive the prize, they believed that the prize was real. Everyone in the family was so happy that they couldn’t sleep that night,” said Mr. M.

Talking about his plans with the prize money, Mr. M said he would use it to take care of his parents' lives, then balance his spending so as not to affect the lives of everyone in the family. In addition, Mr. M also spent a portion of it on social security activities to share his luck with the community.

Mr. P.D.L currently lives and works in the construction field in Ha Tinh province.

Mr. L said that the drawing he won was at noon on Saturday, but because he often plays and often wins small prizes, he did not pay attention to the winning messages. That night, he went out to eat with friends so he did not check the information. After waking up, he surfed Facebook and saw that someone had won the jackpot, so he opened the app to see and knew that he was the lucky winner.

Mr. L plans to use the prize money to expand his business and share his luck with the community.

At the award ceremony, the two winners donated a total of 550 million VND to support areas affected by floods and natural disasters through the Tam Tai Viet Fund.

According to regulations, Mr. NVM is obliged to pay personal income tax at the place of registration to participate in the prize, Thanh Hoa province, with a total value of more than 3.6 billion VND, and Mr. P.D.L pays tax of more than 1 billion VND (10% of the value exceeding 10 million VND) and is deducted immediately upon receiving the prize.
