Musician Thanh Tung is still somewhere here

When the stage showed a video taken in 1993, musician Thanh Tung sat at the piano singing "The Old Way We Return", time seemed to stand still. He had been gone for eight years but it felt like he was somewhere here.

The Hoan Kiem Theater was packed on the nights of January 11 and 12. Thanh Tung Legacy Of Love live concert was a classical crossover, combining the Sun Symphony Orchestra with more than 70 artists and modern sounds from the electronic band Son Thach band.

This is the first time the musician's most iconic compositions have been performed in this format, reminding the audience of another aspect of Thanh Tung's legacy.

That was the period when he took on the role of conductor and composer of the Voice of Vietnam Orchestra and Ho Chi Minh City Television.

Nguyen Ngoc Anh has a thin, sexy voice but it seems not to be "compatible" with the combination of classical and electronic music which requires a thicker voice.

Opening with Dewdrops on the Eyelids , the song lacked its original vitality. Ngoc Anh also collaborated with Lan Nha on the song Old Way We Return and soloed with the orchestra on Lonely Star .

The most anticipated singer was probably Thanh Lam. Many people breathed a sigh of relief because the artist showed less technical skills and "burned" moderately but with nostalgia, accurately expressing the music of the late musician.

Less fresh than 30 years ago, Thanh Lam is now truly romantic and experimental with You and I, Purple Flowers Outside the Yard, and Sunlight Drops by the Threshold . It's just a pity that Lam sings too little, still not pleasing to the ears.

Lan Nha is truly a gentleman singing love songs, elegant and classy with Goodbye Summer, Azalea Bird's Words and Yellow Chrysanthemum . The best is Azalea Bird's Words , the singer sings with longing and affection.

We must praise musician Tran Manh Hung for his arrangement with a strong classical crossover atmosphere that is both academic and close and easy to listen to.

The music night not only had "musical instruments" such as voices but also had instrumental performances of Borderless Love, the movies Flipped Cards , Alone, Singing with the Little Cicada ... Luong Khanh Nhi solo piano Counting Leaves in the Yard , Quyen Thien Dac solo saxophone Sleepless Heart.

But the best is If I die, bury me with a guitar . Perhaps Thanh Tung's audience doesn't get to hear this piece of music performed many times.
