Final article: Patriotic emulation - the driving force for sustainable development
Two key emulation movements: “The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas” and “For the poor - leaving no one behind” have brought about positive results, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people. From advanced examples, the spirit of patriotic emulation has multiplied, becoming a strong driving force for the country to firmly step on the path of sustainable development, realizing the aspiration of a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

The nucleus of the movement
Throughout history, the patriotic emulation movement has always been the "red thread" that runs through, arousing the spirit of solidarity, creativity, and overcoming difficulties throughout society. At each stage and period of national development, emulation movements are associated with specific goals, creating a great driving force to promote the revolutionary cause.
Entering the period of innovation and integration, the two emulation movements: “The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas” and “For the poor - leaving no one behind” continue to affirm their particularly important roles. Not only contributing to improving people's lives, these two emulation movements also spread profound human values, arousing community responsibility.
The highlight of the two emulation movements is the emergence of advanced models; many groups and individuals have become the "nucleus" to encourage the emulation spirit in the community. In many localities, many grassroots cadres dare to think, dare to do, and take the lead in building new rural areas. Many people are willing to donate land to build roads, contribute money and working days to build bridges, roads, schools, etc. All have become shining examples spreading the spirit of "people are the subject".
In the movement “For the poor - no one left behind”, many businesses and philanthropists actively accompany the government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels to implement social security programs. In addition to gifts and charity houses, many units also proactively create jobs, support capital, transfer science and technology to apply in production and business, ... to help poor households escape poverty sustainably.
Ms. Tran Thi Luy (living in Can Giuoc commune) has been involved in charity work for many years, sharing: “What moves me most is seeing the happy smiles of disadvantaged people or poor students, those in difficult circumstances when they are given support. That joy motivates me to join patriotic emulation movements, contributing with the government and people to build a more beautiful homeland.”
Realizing development aspirations
Patriotic emulation is no longer a slogan for action but has become a practical driving force that encourages individuals and groups to strive to overcome difficulties, be creative and contribute. The emulation movement itself has created an environment to discover new factors, thereby increasingly spreading the spirit of emulation, creating a driving force for sustainable development.
In the context of the country aiming to become a developed, high-income country by 2045, the patriotic emulation movement has a special significance. The patriotic emulation movement encourages the striving spirit of the entire people and is an effective way to concretize the policies and resolutions of the Party and State into daily life.
Speaking at the National Conference to review the National Target Program (NTPP) on New Rural Development, the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction (NSRP), the movement "The whole country joins hands to build a new rural area" and the movement "For the poor - leaving no one behind" in the 2021-2025 period, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that in implementing the two NTPs in the 2026-2035 period, it is necessary to take people as the center and the subject of the development process, linking the results between New Rural Development and NSRP. In particular, by 2030, the average income per capita in rural areas will increase at least 2.5 times compared to 2020; by 2035, the average income per capita in rural areas will increase at least 1.6 times compared to 2030, and the multidimensional poverty rate nationwide will decrease to less than 1%.
The lessons from today's patriotic emulation movement will continue to guide the development path ahead. It is a lesson about awakening internal strength, promoting intelligence, creativity and sense of responsibility of all people, as Uncle Ho once advised: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation, and those who emulate are the most patriotic people". That advice remains valuable, becoming a compass for the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to join hands and unite to realize the aspiration to build a strong and prosperous Vietnam./.
