Many activities to support localities, units and schools to overcome the consequences of floods

From October 6 to 10, many organizations and individuals have supported localities, units, schools... in the province affected by storms No. 10 and 11.

Primary schools in Minh Xuan ward, Education Cluster No. 7 and some other primary schools in the province have launched a fundraising campaign to support schools damaged by the effects of storm No. 10. The total amount of money donated to schools is more than 196 million VND along with many supplies, equipment, books, etc.

The working group, including leaders of the Department of Education and Training, specialized departments of the Department of Education and Training, and representatives of primary schools: An Tuong, Hong Thai, Binh Thuan, Phan Thiet, Trung Mon, Na Hang, visited and provided support to schools damaged by the impact of storm No. 10. The working group provided support including 196.65 million VND, more than 12,300 textbooks, 3,890 notebooks, 60 school bags, backpacks, uniforms, school supplies, blankets, mosquito nets, pillows, drinking water, instant noodles and other essential items to schools damaged by floods in Ha Giang 1 ward, Ha Giang 2 ward and communes. The program was organized with the contributions of officials, teachers, parents and students of the schools.

The primary schools receiving support include: Nguyen Tat Thanh, Dao Duc (Vi Xuyen commune); Quang Trung, Nguyen Hue, Minh Khai (Ha Giang 2 ward); Le Loi, Phuong Do (Ha Giang 1 ward); Ngoc Duong (Ngoc Duong commune); Thuan Hoa B Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Thuan Hoa commune); Lao Chai Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Lao Chai commune). At the same time, support goods were gathered at the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang, facility 3 in Ha Giang 1 ward to be transferred to other schools.

The activities have contributed to helping schools in storm-affected areas quickly overcome difficulties, stabilize teaching and learning, and strongly spread the spirit of "mutual love and support" throughout the province's education sector.

* On the morning of October 10, Cathay Life Insurance Company Limited, Hanoi Branch, Tuyen Quang Office coordinated with Kien Thiet Commune, Tuyen Quang Province to organize a program to support people affected by flash floods caused by storm Bualoi. The delegation presented 100 gifts to households in Dong Khan and Dong Di villages, Kien Thiet Commune, each gift included necessities and blankets, with a total value of over 60 million VND.

* The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has received support from the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture to help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Vietnam Academy of Agriculture presented gifts including: 79 boxes of vegetable seeds, 37 boxes of dry food, 100 boxes of instant noodles, to support people to soon stabilize their lives and reproduce after natural disasters.

The gifts supported by staff, lecturers and students of the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture are a source of spiritual encouragement, helping people in disaster-stricken areas quickly stabilize their lives and production.

* The Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) in coordination with TH Group and the "For Vietnamese Stature" Fund organized a visit and presented gifts to members, women and orphans affected by storms No. 10 and 11 in Ha Giang Ward 1 and Ha Giang Ward 2.

The delegation presented 250 gifts to 200 members, women and 50 orphans in the two wards, each gift worth 1 million VND.
