The Vietnamese Embassy in Mozambique launched a campaign to support compatriots in the country to overcome damage caused by storms and floods.

All officers and staff of the Embassy and a large number of Vietnamese people in Mozambique responded and participated in the Launching Ceremony.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Mozambique launched a fundraising campaign to support people in the country to overcome damage caused by storms and floods.

On October 9, the Vietnamese Embassy in Mozambique held a fundraising ceremony to support Vietnamese people in overcoming damage caused by recent storms and floods.

The launching ceremony received the response and participation of all officers and staff of the Embassy and a large number of people in the Vietnamese community in Mozambique.

At the launching ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Tran Thi Thu Thin briefly informed about the recent storm and flood situation in the country. In September and early October 2025, 5 consecutive storms appeared and were active in the East Sea, of which storm No. 9 (Ragasa), storm No. 10 (Bualoi) and storm No. 11 (Matmo) had a strong impact in many localities.

In particular, storm No. 10 and subsequent floods have caused heavy losses in human lives and property in the Northern and North Central provinces. Currently, the Party and State have been deploying solutions and resources to restore infrastructure, support production, and ensure people's lives.

The launching ceremony was organized by the Embassy in response to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , promoting the precious tradition of solidarity of our nation, with the spirit of "mutual love", "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves", contributing to spreading the message of humanity, arousing the spirit of sharing and social responsibility, demonstrating the solidarity and mutual love of the Vietnamese community in Mozambique, always looking towards the homeland and the country.

All officers and staff of the Embassy and a large number of Vietnamese people in Mozambique responded and participated in the Launching Ceremony.

Calling on the Vietnamese community in Mozambique to join hands with the Party and State, depending on their conditions and capabilities, to donate to support compatriots in the country to overcome the damage caused by storms and floods, the Ambassador sincerely thanks the sharing of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Mozambique, contributing to supporting families affected by storms and floods to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

The donation was transferred by the Embassy to the country through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At the ceremony, the Embassy staff, Vietnamese businesses and people in the community directly donated 101,813,840 VND.

The entire amount was transferred back to the country by the Embassy through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
