At the gift-giving ceremonies, dozens of gifts including rice, cooking oil, sugar, milk, etc. were delivered directly to households in difficult circumstances. This is the result of thrift and mobilization of officers and soldiers of Rach Goc Border Guard Station, along with local women's union members, youth union members and youth. Although the gifts are not large in material terms, they contain deep affection, contributing to alleviating difficulties and adding confidence and determination for people to rise up in life.

Touched when receiving the gift, Mrs. Huynh Thi Be (Hamlet 4, Phan Ngoc Hien Commune) shared: "Thanks to the care of the Border Guard and the government, we poor people have more conditions to rise up." Mrs. Luong Thi Tuoi, also in the hamlet, expressed: "The gift is not big but full of warmth and affection, it is the motivation for my family to try harder in work and production."

Not only taking care of the lives of poor households, with the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", from 2023, Rach Goc Border Guard Station and Phan Ngoc Hien Commune Women's Union will take care of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers for life. Nguyen Thi Gap (92 years old, Nha Dieu hamlet). Her husband, martyr Pham Van Trong, died in the resistance war against the French and her son, martyr Tran Van Tam, died in the resistance war against the Americans. With such great contributions and sacrifices, on May 29, 2023, the State conferred the noble title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother on Mother Nguyen Thi Gap.

According to the plan, each month, the units support Mother with 500,000 VND from the savings contributions of officers, soldiers and women's union members, and regularly visit, take care of her health and encourage her spirit, especially during holidays and Tet. Ms. Doan Thi Lien, Mother's daughter-in-law, emotionally expressed: "Thanks to the attention of the Border Guard and the locality, my mother is taken care of more carefully, the family is very grateful".

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ngan, Chairwoman of the Commune Women's Union, affirmed: "We consider this a sacred responsibility, expressing gratitude to those who sacrificed for the Fatherland. In the coming time, the association will continue to expand gratitude activities."

Taking care of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Gap is a source of pride and deep gratitude of officers and soldiers towards the previous generation.
