On the morning of October 1, comrade Ha Trung Kien, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province inspected the search and rescue work in Ma Lau A village, Lung Cu commune. This is where a particularly serious landslide occurred, burying four people in a family on the morning of September 30.

At the scene, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Ha Trung Kien acknowledged the sense of responsibility and efforts of the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police, the Defense Command of Region I, Lung Cu Border Guard Station and a large number of officers and local people. He praised the determination of hundreds of officers and soldiers who, despite difficulties and dangers, urgently carried out the search in the conditions of prolonged heavy rain, continued landslides, and many potential risks.

He requested that the forces continue to promote a sense of responsibility, deploy synchronous solutions to quickly find the victims, and at the same time absolutely ensure the safety of the forces and people participating at the scene.

After inspecting and directing the search and rescue work, comrade Ha Trung Kien visited and encouraged the family of Mr. Vang Cha So - a family of 4 people missing in the landslide. Mr. So's family has 6 people, including his son and daughter-in-law who are working far away in Hai Phong, so they were lucky to escape. The remaining 4 people at home, including Mr. So, his wife, Mrs. Hau Thi Dinh, and 2 children, Vang Xuan Hoa and Vang Minh Hai, were buried by the rocks and soil.

Comrade Ha Trung Kien sent his deepest condolences to the victim's family, shared the great loss and encouraged relatives to try to overcome the grief. He also affirmed that the Party Committee, the government and mass organizations in the province will always accompany and promptly support the family to soon stabilize their lives. He also requested the Party Committee and the government of Lung Cu commune to continue to closely coordinate with the forces, especially the Border Guard force, to actively deploy support measures, and at the same time review and relocate households living in areas at high risk of landslides to ensure people's safety.
